The 2020 field of Democrats is narrowing by the day.
At this point, anything could happen in this race.
And one 2020 Democrat just turned on her entire party by revealing one harsh truth.
It doesn’t seem as though Democrats will ever learn their lesson from 2016.
They threw the most establishment candidate in history, Hillary Clinton, up against Trump only to be absolutely destroyed on Election Day.
If they want to, they could potentially learn from their mistakes by embracing a less establishment candidate.
But when an outsider comes forward, it is the party themselves who destroy them, as Democrat presidential candidate Marianne Williamson explains.
“I know this sounds naive. I didn’t think the left was so mean. I didn’t think the left lied like this,” Williamson told the New Yorker’s David Remnick in an interview. “I thought the right did that. I thought we were better.”
While it surely is true that Williamson has some wacky ideas, the left has often misrepresented and even outright lied about her beliefs and positions.
One of the claims waged against her is that she promotes healing crystals, and “crystal gazing.”
This is something that Williamson loudly denies, stating that there has “never been a crystal on stage,” and that “there is no crystal” in her home.
Those claims may be a bit silly, but the reality is that the media is simply using them to discredit her.
And not all the claims against her are so innocent.
Williamson claims that the left launched claims that she told AIDs patients not to take their medicines, telling them that “lovelessness” is the cause of disease, and that “love” is “enough to cure their diseases.”
In response to this claim, Williamson simply points out that she is Jewish, and that she goes to the doctor.
“I’m Jewish, I go to the doctor,” Williamson said.
This is very relevant because the allegations against her are that she is essentially anti-science, and opposed to the medical field.
It is also important to note that many of the crazy things she is accused of don’t fit within her religion.
Williamson seems to believe that the reason for her opposition is that she is not an establishment candidate.
She has never held public office and is willing to call out the establishment.
In recent weeks she has gone so far as to criticize the “political-media industrial complex.”
She also continues to warn the Democrat Party that if they want to defeat Trump, they cannot nominate an establishment candidate.
Democrats clearly aren’t listening to her advice, and they have done so much to discredit her that she will almost certainly need to drop out of the race soon.
She is currently polling below two percent, which is the required amount of polling to gain a spot at the upcoming Democrat debates.
Williamson claims she will not drop out of the race, and that she is instead hoping to gain entrance to the next debate, stating that her campaign is about “consciousness and inspiration.”
But Williamson has virtually zero chance to turn things around, especially with Democrats so insistent on destroying her.
Do you agree with Marianne Williamson that the left are liars?
