The Democrat Party wasn’t prepared for this iteration of Donald Trump.
Democrats have no idea what hit them.
And Donald Trump embarrassed a top Democrat in this public confrontation.
Donald Trump reminded everyone of what a real president looked like when he traveled to California to visit areas ravaged by the wildfires.
Trump held a roundtable with Congressman Brad Sherman, first responders, local residents, and Mayor Karen Bass.
The event showed Trump staging a masterclass in how a president takes command of situations to cut through all the BS to show Americans he’s there for them in their time of need.
Mayor Karen Bass – who slashed $17 million from the Fire Department’s budget – told Trump the number-one issue keeping people from returning to their homes was the process of cleaning up debris from the fires.
“The number one thing that we are going to do immediately, and you will see this happen, is to clear out the debris. We’re concerned right now over the weekend because of the potential rain. But we are going to move as fast as we can. But we want you to be safe. We want you to be back in your homes immediately,” Bass stated.
Trump said if Bass waited to go through the normal practice of hiring contractors the clean-up effort could take up to two years.
Trump told Bass that cutting the red tape could get the situation squared away in 24 hours so people could go back to their homes.
“And you know, it’s just going to take a long time if you do… You can do some of it, but a lot of these people… I know that guy right there that’s talking,” Trump added, ‘I know my people. You’ll be on that thing tonight, throwing the stuff away, and your site will be… it’ll look perfect within 24 hours.”
Trump said people were itching to get to work and help the people but Bass had to get more aggressive with invoking the emergency authority her office granted her.
“And that’s what he wants to do. He doesn’t want to wait around for seven months till the city hires some demolition contract that’s going to charge him $25,000 to do his lot. I think you have to…Because I looked. I mean, you have a very powerful emergency power. And you can do everything within 24 hours,” Trump continued.
Bass said people could begin cleaning up the debris on their lots in a week.
Trump found that answer absolutely ridiculous.
“That’s a long time, a week. I’ll be honest. To me, everyone’s standing in front of their house,” Trump continued.
When Bass protested that she was keeping residents away from their property for a week due to safety concerns, Trump informed her that what wasn’t safe was her residents standing around without a home for a week.
“They’re safe. They’re safe. You know what? They’re not safe. They’re not safe now.” Trump explained. “They’re going to be much safer. A week, a week is actually a long time. The way I look at it.”
“I watched hundreds of people standing in front of their lots. And they’re not allowed to go in. It’s all burned,” Trump remarked.
Trump then called out Bass for laying out an 18-month time table to complete the clean-up process.
“Everybody said 18 months. You said 18 months. You said 18 months,” Trump concluded.
Even liberal media members like Puck News’ Peter Hamby admitted Trump was right.
To Trump’s credit here, the very person Karen Bass appointed to lead the recovery said rebuilding won’t be able to start for a year to 18 months. https://t.co/ST0soQPq1R

Joe Biden’s handlers spent four years shielding Biden from scenes like this because he was too senile to carry on a conversation.
In one week, Trump showed Americans the days of a president in hiding were over.
