Mark Levin found his breaking point with President Trump.
Trump supporters were left stunned.
And Mark Levin turned on Trump over this daring decision.
President Trump nominated Elbridge Colby to serve as the undersecretary of Defense for policy at the Pentagon.
Colby is an America First stalwart who backs Donald Trump’s policy of ending the war in Ukraine and avoiding another endless war in the Middle East.
Trump learned in his first term that personnel is policy as the warmongers the establishment foisted on his national security team such as H.R. McMaster, John Kelly, Mike Pompeo and James Mattis repeatedly undermined Trump’s plan to end forever wars in Syria and Afghanistan by bringing the troops home.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is loyal to the Trump agenda.
Colby in charge of Pentagon policy means Trump has two trusted supporters he can count on to support him when the swamp inevitably tries to sabotage peace deals to end the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
But now Trump is learning that the establishment wants to win the battle for the direction of foreign policy before it even starts.
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk sounded the alarm on social media that Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton was plotting behind the scenes to derail Colby’s nomination.
“The effort to undermine President Trump continues in the US Senate @SenTomCotton is working behind the scenes to stop Trump’s pick, Elbridge Colby, from getting confirmed at DOD. Colby is one of the most important pieces to stop the Bush/Cheney cabal at DOD,” Kirk wrote on X.
“Why is Tom Cotton doing this?” Kirk asked.
Fox News’ “Life, Liberty and Levin” host Mark Levin is normally an enthusiastic Trump supporter.
But Levin is also a hawk on foreign policy.
And Levin falsely accused Colby of being an appeaser on Iran simply because Colby opposed the idea of launching a second Iraq-style invasion and war of regime change in the Middle East.
Levin even went so far as to baselessly claim that Colby agreeing with Donald Trump that America should work to avoid war with Iran undermined American national security.
“Sorry Charlie. It is the unequivocal position of President Trump and every sane person that Iran must not get nukes. If this guy has no problem with it, he’s the problem not Cotton. He’s out of sync not Cotton. He’s undermining national security not Cotton,” Levin posted in response to Kirk.
