President Trump named Alina Habba the acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey,
Democrats soon learned the double standard of justice was over.
And Aliba Habba dropped a legal bombshell that had Democrats in panic mode.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
New Jersey Democrat Governor Phil Murphy is looking to make a name for himself ahead of an anticipated 2028 presidential run.
Murphy knows the easiest way to appeal to the left-wing base is to pick a fight with President Trump.
And Murphy – as well as his Attorney General Matt Platkin – did just that by announcing that state police won’t assist ICE on enforcing 27,000 immigration warrants outstanding in the state of New Jersey.
“New Jersey State Police officers have been instructed not to act on tens of thousands of newly added immigrations warrants in a federal database, according to an internal memo from Colonel Patrick Callahan, citing potential violations of state law,” Shore News Network exclusively reported.
New Jersey State Police are barred from “participating in civil immigration enforcement and enforcing administrative warrants issued by federal immigration authorities without a court order.”
President Trump appointed Alina Habba as the acting United States attorney for New Jersey.
Habba went on Sean Hannity’s show to announce she opened an investigation into Murphy and Platkin for interfering in federal immigration enforcement.
“And unfortunately, I will announce on your show tonight, Sean, and I want it to be a warning for everybody that I have instructed my office today to open an investigation into Governor Murphy, to open an investigation into Attorney General Platkin, who also instructed the state police not to assist any of our federal agencies that are under my direction…” Habba stated.
Habba told Hannity that under President Trump, the days of Democrat governors and mayors freelancing on immigration and allowing illegal aliens to take up sanctuary in their cities and states was over.
“That will no longer stand. [U.S. Attorney General] Pam Bondi has made it clear and so has our president that we are to take all criminals, violent criminals and criminals [sic] out of this country and to completely enforce federal law,” Habba continued.
Habba added that anyone who interfered in immigration raids would face criminal charges and imprisonment.
“And anybody who does get in that way, in the way of what we are doing, which is not political, it is simply against crime, will be charged in the state of New Jersey for obstruction, for concealment. And I will come after hard,” Habba added.
Habba said the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause gave the federal government sole authority on immigration enforcement and she made that point clear in her meetings with New Jersey officials.
“And let me tell you, to my state officers in New Jersey – some of whom I met with today – I appreciate and respect what you can and cannot do. They don’t have Title VIII authority. I understand that” Habba stated.
Habba detailed how Murphy and Platkin ordered state police not to notify ICE about outstanding immigration warrants when staging arrest operations, a move that Habba said put federal agents’ lives in danger.
“But what they have been instructed to do by the AG and the governor as is on their website, is to not even make the phone call to I.C.E. when they run the record and see there is a valid warrant and administrative warrant ordering deportation. That is putting the people in my state in jeopardy,” Habba declared.
Cracking down on illegal immigration means cracking down on sanctuary cities and states.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is learning that lesson the hard way.
