The crisis in Minnesota began with an expose of Somali scammers ripping off taxpayers.
Now all hell is breaking loose.
And Ilhan Omar will be gloating over a secret audio of this top Republican.
As American Patroit Daily reports:
Congressman Tom Emmer (R-MN) is the number three Republican in the House of Representatives, serving as Majority Whip.
Emmer took to social media to call for stripping the citizenship and deportation of Somalis linked to the $9 billion welfare fraud scheme that saw prosecutors charge over 80 people and rack up nearly 60 convictions.
“I have three words regarding Somalis who have committed fraud against American taxpayers: Send them home. If they’re here illegally, deport them immediately; if they’re naturalized citizens, revoke their citizenship and deport them quickly thereafter,” Emmer posted. “If we need to change the law to do that, I will.”
“Our nation will not tolerate those who take advantage of our charity and refuse to assimilate into our culture,” Emmer continued.
The outrage grew after independent journalist Nick Shirley exposed $110,00,000 in fraudulent Somali childcare operations in 24 hours.
But Emmer’s outrage over the growing scandal in his home state now looks performative.
Resurfaced audio from 2015 shows Emmer smearing constituents who attended a town hall meeting as bigots for demanding Emmer fight to stop the flood of Somalis into their community.
“We did not ask for those Somalis. Nobody asked us if we, in St. Cloud, want those Somalis. And we understand that social groups, like the Lutheran social service and the Catholic charities, are dumping them in areas like St. Cloud,” the audio recorded a man saying to Emmer.
“OK, and so the question is, how many more are coming? We didn’t ask for these people. Everybody that you read about is talking about this. So that is a main issue in this city,” the man continued. “There is no control. The people have no control over immigration. The mayor doesn’t. I don’t know.”
Emmer responded by sliming the man as a racist, telling the voter that he intended to fire “a warning shot at the implicit racism.”
Another woman called on Emmer to support an immigration moratorium so their community could assimilate the immigrants already living there before the new waves of Somalis overwhelmed their neighborhoods and imposed their culture.
Emmer falsely claimed the Constitution mandated mass migration and open borders.
“All right, here’s the thing. All I can do is respond as openly and honestly as I can, Sue. That’s not something that I can do. That’s not something that our constitution says that we do with people who are — ” Emmer began.
Emmer then formed a Somali caucus in the House with then Democrat Congressman Keith Ellison in 2015.
A joint statement from Emmer and Ellison claimed importing tens of thousands of Somalis into Minneapolis was vital to American national security.
The two wrote that“for us, and the constituents we represent, Somalia is not a far-off foreign policy issue, it’s a matter of domestic policy and national security. We are committed to advocating on behalf of all of our constituents while ensuring that Somalia has the tools it needs to create strong democratic institutions that provide safety and economic opportunity to its people.”
Ellison is now the Minnesota Attorney General, and he’s facing questions about why his office ignored this fraud.
Emmer is an establishment RINO who symbolizes the pre-Trump GOP.
The kind of Republican Party that berates its own voters as racists for opposing the government dumping the third world on the streets of American cities is what many establishment RINOs are secretly trying to engineer the return of, once President Trump leaves office.
