CNN’s war on Donald Trump and his supporters crossed a major line.
The left-wing propaganda network may pay a big price.
And that’s because a big-name CNN host’s biggest secret may be revealed in this lawsuit.
Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe told Fox News that he was suing CNN for defamation after anchor Ana Cabrera falsely claimed on the air that Twitter suspended Project Veritas’ account for spreading misinformation.
In the interview with Fox, O’Keefe cited a recent procedural motion win in a lawsuit against The New York Times as evidence his group would fight to win.
“We have been lied about by the New York Times. We sued for defamation. We won [against a] motion to dismiss in the New York Supreme Court – a huge, historic victory on that motion. And a lot of people are coming to us,” O’Keefe explained. “They have been lied about and defamed. Every day people are defamed in this country by the media.”
O’Keefe believes that CNN and Twitter colluded on banning Project Veritas to save CNN from embarrassment by shutting down Project Veritas’ account to prevent the group from spreading the Chester video.
“The collusion between Twitter, Google, Facebook, CNN and the New York Times. So we have to expose that and Project Veritas did the video on [CNN Technical Director], Charlie Chester, saying that his network is propaganda,” O’Keefe stated.
O’Keefe added that he thought the facts were on his side and as long as his group kept fighting they would prevail.
“Twitter banned us for reporting what he said. But, I don’t think we can lose if we fight back, go on offense, and have the courage to stay on offense — so we sued New York Times, we are suing CNN. We are suing Twitter and we just launched a new initiative to represent other people to sue for defamation,” O’Keefe added.
O’Keefe explained that he planned to depose Cabrera and “Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter to determine if they communicated with Twitter and urged the social media platform to censor Project Veritas’ account.
“There is this oligarchy there – a connection – and we’re going to get past motion to dismiss in the CNN lawsuit — and depose Ana Cabrera and Brian Stelter at CNN,” O’Keefe concluded.
Social media censorship of conservatives is a major issue in America.
But what this lawsuit could answer is if ideological censorship by social media companies is carried in coordination with corporate media outlets.
