The Biden administration would like to laugh off a serious crisis that they caused.
But they won’t be able to get away with it.

Ambassador Roberta Jacobson accidentally let slip an important fact about the crisis on the southern border.
While speaking in Spanish, Jacobson accidentally told reporters that the border is not closed. She later tried to say that the border is in fact closed.
But despite her afterward statements that the border is closed, the Biden administration is releasing record amounts of illegal immigrants into America, at a time when the CDC is recommending against travel even for people who have received the Covid vaccine.
The crisis has been caused by President Joe Biden’s failure to enforce the law and promises of amnesty, and created an environment that will be exploited by gangs and child traffickers.
Record numbers of minors are being held at detention facilities that are being run at 100% capacity. The Biden administration doesn’t know how they will find housing for all the children.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy questioned why, when detention facilities were being opened to full capacity, many schools are still not open for in-person learning.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that the CDC, after being influenced politically, had said mitigation efforts were needed before schools could safely open.
“The CDC is saying, ‘Schools, you can be at — every school can be at full capacity,’ as you know —” Doocy protested.
“The CDC guidelines as to be clear, as I think this is very important to be very clear and specific on. They gave eight mitigation steps that schools can take to safely reopen,” Psaki replied.
Doocy asked if the cooperation of the border patrol unions had been easier to obtain than that of teachers’ unions.
“I think that’s a little bit of mixing different circumstances,” Psaki replied.
Doocy pointed out that both circumstances involved children being held in tight quarters together.
Psaki laughed in response.
“It’s not funny,” Doocy replied.
“Not quite, I would say that let — let’s take a responsible approach to the two issues,” Psaki continued.
“That is a different circumstance than what we are seeing at the border,” Psaki concluded, noting that detention facilities were also being evaluated in order to try and meet the CDC’s guidelines.
Covid restrictions are ignored by Democrats whenever they are inconvenient on a personal or a political level.
For months, millions of Americans gathered together for Black Lives Matter protests and were cheered on by the left; the same Democrat governors who supported large-scale protests were trying to stop churches from meeting at the very same time.
Covid is being used by Democrats as a politically convenient tool to achieve their ends.
