The midterm election is less than 80 days away.
Control of both houses of Congress is at stake.
And a liberal comic gave Americans two words of advice about the election that no one saw coming.
Joe Rogan interviewed Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers generated massive headlines last season when he contracted COVID after refusing to take the COVID vaccine and then questioned coronavirus mandates.
During the interview Rogan – who also questioned the effectiveness of the COVID vaccine and lockdown orders – shared a victory lap with Rodgers as current data and science proved them right about the failure of lockdowns and the COVID vaccine failing to deliver the promised protection from infection or spreading the coronavirus.
Rogan said the pandemic produced an attack on freedom and the Constitution that Americans should learn from.
“Remember when they made a decision to close outdoor dining?” Rogan began. “And it turned out that one of the people that made that decision, the day she did it, went out and was dining outdoors?”
Rodgers picked up on that remark as referring to California Governor Gavin Newsom as the symbol of liberal politicians that imposed lockdowns and then disregarded the rules.
“I thought you meant Gavin Newsom going to French Laundry,” Rodgers interjected.
“Yeah, that was fun,” Rogan joked.
Rogan then expressed his hope that the American people learned from the fact that Democrat politicians acknowledged that lockdowns and mandates did not work from the simple fact that liberals ignored the rules at every opportunity as a teachable moment.
“I hope there are lessons learned in this,” Rogan stated. “Because this is a new thing. We had never had this before. No one who is alive today has ever experienced a true pandemic. And I’m hoping that, now that this is over, people are going to recognize that some serious errors were made and not repeat those. That’s the best you can get out of it.”
“So what do you tell those people?” Rodgers asked Rogan.
“Vote Republican,” Rogan interjected.
The American people’s anger at COVID mandates showed up in election results.
In the 2021 New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial elections both states voted nearly 13 points to the right of 2020 and Republicans swept the statewide contests in Virginia for the first time since 2009.
Republicans also won a majority in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Both Virginia and New Jersey were run by Democrats and voters in those states took out their frustration on COVID mandates on the ruling Democrats.
Rogan warned that Democrats faced a similar rebuke this November as one million Americans changed their party registration to Republicans.
