Fox News is facing a terrible scandal that reaches all the way to the top.
They went to drastic lengths to keep this scandal quiet.
A reporter went off-script and revealed a terrible secret about Fox News.
A Fox News general assignment reporter, Ivory Hecker, who worked for Fox 26 Houston, was supposed to be giving a report on the recent heatwave that’s been hitting Texas when she went off-script, saying that Fox Corp. is “muzzling” her.
FOX 26 reporter Ivory Hecker said on-air:
“Before we get to that story, I want to let you the viewers know that Fox Corp. has been muzzling me to keep certain information from you the viewers. And from what I’m gathering, I am not the only reporter being subjected to this. I am going to be releasing some recordings about what goes on behind the scenes at Fox because it applies to you the viewers. I found a nonprofit journalism group called Project Veritas that’s gonna help put that out tomorrow, so tune into them. But as for this heat wave across Texas, you can see what it’s doing to AC units.”
Soon after, Hecker announced that she had been fired from her job.
“I have been longing to part ways with this strange, slightly unhinged corporation since last August when I realized what they were,” she said, adding she has “zero interest in working for another corporation. They all toe the same line.”
Hecker obtained recordings of her superiors and shared them with Project Veritas.
“Viewers are being deceived about some of the things that are going on,” Hecker told Veritas.
Hecker was pressured by Fox 26 to suppress stories that presented hydroxychloroquine as an acceptable coronavirus treatment because of money-making motivations.
Jennifer Bourgeois, sales coordinator for Fox 26 confessed that the CDC is influencing what they put on-air since the CDC is spending vast amounts of money on ad campaigns.
“Yeah, they [CDC] are spending money. They are spending money because they can,” she told an undercover Project Veritas reporter. “Yeah, they can. They [CDC] are in the pocket. You know? They’re there.”
Hecker said her superiors had forgotten that their “first loyalty is to the citizen.”
“Vaccines are a potential money maker for Fox,” she explained. “Fox gets paid for that. As a viewer you need to look at who is advertising on this TV station, and you’ve got to realize — surely that the TV station doesn’t want to hurt its advertisers.”
Hecker said that even though there are areas where Fox News does “fantastic journalism,” there are stories where there’s an incredible slant. “If you accidentally step outside [the narrative], they try to internally destroy you — as I’ve witnessed firsthand.”
She concluded, “At this point, I want out of this narrative news telling. I want out of this corruption. I want to tell true stories without fear of whether it fits the corporate narrative.”
