The left is trying to undo all the good work of the civil rights movement.
Their discrimination is so strong that it’s possibly illegal.
A top Democrat said two unbelievably racist words that should destroy her.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has decided that she will only give interviews to “journalists of color” and exclude white journalists for the occasion of her two-year anniversary in office.
For the last fifty years America has been working to be a place where people are judged not on the basis of skin color but on individuality.
Yet here the mayor of Chicago is clearly making judgements on strangers based on nothing but their skin color.
When faced with the backlash, Lightfoot chose to double down on her comments instead of apologizing, claiming that “systemic racism” in the media justified her actions.
In a number of tweets, Lightfoot said that she was using her position to make the City Hall press corps more diverse.
“I ran to break up the status quo that was failing so many,” Lightfoot said. “That isn’t just in City Hall. It’s a shame that in 2021, the City Hall press corps is overwhelmingly White in a city where more than half of the city identifies as Black, Latino, AAPI or Native American.”
“Diversity and inclusion is imperative across all institutions including media. In order to progress we must change.”
But Lightfoot is acting in a way that is reducing diversity and excluding a certain group of people based off of their skin color.
“This is an imbalance that needs to change. Chicago is a world-class city. Our local media should reflect the multiple cultures that comprise it,” Lightfoot continued.
“We must be intentional about doing better. I believed that when running for office. I stand on this belief now. It’s time for the newsrooms to do better and build teams that reflect the make-up of our city,” she concluded.
Former Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard called for Lightfoot’s resignation due to “anti-white racism.”
“Mayor Lightfoot’s blatant anti-white racism is abhorrent. I call upon President Biden, Kamala Harris, and other leaders of our county [sic]—of all races—to join me in calling for Mayor Lightfoot’s resignation. Our leaders must condemn all racism, including anti-white,” Gabbard tweeted.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson said Wednesday, “Any society that allows politicians to talk like this has a very ugly future ahead.”
Racial discrimination is ugly and should not be tolerated.
If a top government official had acted this way towards any minority group it would have created widespread outrage and justifiably so.
But because of the double standard within the media and the Democratic Party, Mayor Lightfoot thinks that discrimination is perfectly acceptable which is indeed a troubling sign of where the Democratic Party is headed.
