Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger was one of the biggest RINOs in all of Congress.
Kinzinger voted to impeach Trump and then sat on the January 6 committee in hopes of destroying Donald Trump once and for all.
But now Adam Kinzinger waved the white flag of surrender in one important fight with Donald Trump.
In an interview on WGN TV, pro-gun control, pro-amnesty, pro-impeachment RINO Adam Kinzinger lamented the fact that there was no room in the Republican Party for someone who hates Donald Trump and votes like a Democrat.
“The truth is this party is invasion of the body snatchers. It’s not the party that I ever joined. It’s around a person, and it’s kind of creepy, to be honest with you,” Kinzinger complained.
Kinzinger whined that more Republicans didn’t join him in drinking the left’s Kool-Aid and supporting media lies about Donald Trump inciting an “insurrection” on January 6.
“Maybe there wasn’t going to be a tidal wave of people to come over, but I certainly didn’t think I’d be alone. We talk about democracy. We talk about the Constitution, [in particular] the Republican Party loves to talk about Constitution, but yet we are openly violating it now,” Kinzinger added.
Kinzinger then repeated his false claim that Donald Trump would fade as a political force in the Republican Party, but that other Republicans would adopt Trump’s willingness to fight and refusal to bow to the corporate media’s smears and lies.
“I think Trump himself will be less and less of a force every day. My concern is Trumpism has been learned. There are people who will use Trumpism to maintain power,” Kinzinger added.
Several months ago, Kinzinger claimed on ABC that in ten years no one would admit to being a Trump supporter.
“I can get about as close as I can to guaranteeing that in about 10 years there’s not going to have been a single Trump supporter that exists anywhere in the country. It’s like Nixon. There were a lot of people that supported Nixon until he was out of office and then everybody was like ‘Oh, nobody supported Nixon.’ I figure that that’s going to happen,” Kinzinger told host George Stephanopoulos.
But in the interview on WGN Kinzinger admitted that in the fight for the soul of the GOP Donald Trump crushed him and that Kinzinger suffered total defeat.
“Yes, yeah. He won in the short term, at least. I mean, there’s no, there’s no use in pretending that somehow I’ve scored some major victory and save the party,” Kinzinger confessed.
It’s not surprising Trump crushed a RINO traitor like Kinzinger.
Kinzinger is the type of Republican who believes that conservatism is defined as being a chump for the left and rolling over and dying in every fight.
Trump – on the other – hand fought for the values that conservatives actually care about – securing the border, confronting Communist China, and appointing the judges that provided the votes to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Kinzinger retired from Congress this year because he was too afraid to face the voters after he was drawn into a new district with a fellow GOP incumbent.
Kinzinger knew his vote to impeach Trump and serving Nancy Pelosi’s every command made him toxic in the GOP.
So he quit out of fear of losing.
