Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff is in serious trouble.
After being caught lying to the American people, Schiff’s record is coming back to haunt him.
And now, this looming investigation could end up destroying his career for good.
Adam Schiff has earned a reputation for being one of the most dishonest and scandal-plagued members of Congress.
After spending years lying to the American people about Donald Trump and his 2016 presidential win, Schiff has now found himself in the middle of yet another scandal which is even more outrageous than the “Russian collusion” lie he tried to peddle for years.
And now, Schiff’s blatant violation of the Constitution could trigger a massive ethics investigation against him.
RedState reports, “On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s ‘Mornings with Maria,’ Rep. Greg Murphy (R-N.C.) told Maria Bartiromo that the Republican-controlled House ‘needs to do an ethics investigation’ of Schiff and his lies — at least. ‘You should not be able to lie in Congress,’ Murphy declared.”
For Schiff, this marks yet another bad turn in a series of events which have seen his political standing fall from being among the most powerful members of Congress, to now facing widespread calls for his resignation.
“Adam Schiff wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped him in the face. And the same thing with the other folks — they wanted to push a president [Trump] out and they were willing to use any means — lying, deception, you name it — to push that narrative. And the truth has come out, now, and I hope we hold these guys accountable,” said Congressman Murphy.
Schiff’s actions against Donald Trump are not the only set of problems plaguing the California Democrat however.
In recent weeks, it was also revealed that Schiff regularly contacted the old regime in charge of Twitter, and repeatedly demanded tweets he didn’t like to be removed from the site.
What’s worse, Schiff even went so far as to demand that a reporter for RealClearPolitics be banned from the platform because he was reporting that Schiff’s top sources in the first Donald Trump impeachment trial were actually partisan Democrats with ties to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Schiff’s response to these news reports was to circumvent the Constitution and privately demand that Twitter suspend the reporter in question for exposing how flawed his case against Trump really was.
“At the very least, Maria, we’ll need to do an ethics investigation on him and then the true light’s brought forth, and whether he gets kicked out of Congress or reprimanded or what, you should not be able to lie in Congress. I mean, it’s just — it’s a basic fact. It’s something that goes back to the American people, having faith in our system,” added Congressman Murphy in his interview with Fox News.
The revelation that Schiff broke the First Amendment in his quest to silence reporters who were embarrassing his office sent shockwaves through Congress, and partially led to Schiff being booted off of the Intelligence Committee in the House of Representatives.
And now, conservatives in Congress are demanding that Schiff lose far more than just his committee assignments, with growing calls for an investigation to be launched against him for violating the Constitution and lying to the American people.
