The election of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rocked the world.
The insurgent socialist candidate won against all odds and has since made herself into a constant news fixture.
But that’s all over after she got hit with news that proves she is done.
The mainstream media loves Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
She is young, far-left, and somehow made her way into Congress.
Following her election, the media couldn’t get enough of her, with multiple documentaries even coming out about her short political career.
But while she was becoming a superstar, it turns out that the people who voted for her may have begun to lose interest.
Polling in her district shows that she has little actual support at this point.
Her approval rating is only at 21%, with just 13% saying that they plan on voting for her.
This polling came out weeks ago, and the left quickly jumped onto the opportunity to scream about it being fake news.
They cite reasons that they believe the poll is incorrect, all in the hopes that people don’t believe the results.
Ocasio-Cortez is the loudest voice for socialism ever to serve in Congress.
If polling shows that as a bad position to hold, other socialists might shy away from running for office.
So there is good reason for the left to try to discredit this poll.
But all their work to discredit the poll is going to waste after new research definitively proves she lacks support in her district.
New research shows that in Ocasio-Cortez’s own district, only ten people have contributed to her campaign since the start of the year.
She just got into office at the start of the year.
With as much news attention as she’s gotten since taking office, one would imagine that she would be dominating in her district.
But in reality, the campaign re-election cash she is bringing in, comes from outside her district.
In fact, less than 1% of Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign contributions came from her district.
Those ten donations end up totaling $1,525.50.
This is just one percent of the average $107,141.29 that freshman representatives brought in from their constituents this year.
This massive lack of support, despite her upset victory a year ago, likely comes from her actions since entering office.
She continues to spar with President Trump, and even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in order to push her far-left agenda.
Not only that, but she has teamed up to form the “Squad,” which is made up of a number of deeply anti-Semitic freshman Representatives.
While these are actions that get her strong approval among the far-left, it is clear that it isn’t working over those who actually matter to her, which are the voters in her district.
Months ago Speaker Pelosi said that a “glass of water” could beat Ocasio-Cortez when it comes time for re-election.
And that might be the first time Nancy Pelosi was right about something.
Do you think Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will win re-election?
