Barack Obama and Joe Biden never had the close relationship the corporate media falsely claimed.
But now Barack Obama went out of his way to make Biden look bad.
Barack Obama just showed every American something humiliating about Joe Biden.
Normally in the closing weeks of a campaign the president barnstorms the country holding rallies in key states to boost the fortunes of favored candidates.
Donald Trump is closing this campaign season with rallies in Florida and the critical state of Pennsylvania where his endorsed Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz overtook John Fetterman in the polls.
For the Democrats, the president the left wants out on the stump is Barack Obama.
Obama held rallies in swing states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Georgia.
By contrast, Joe Biden is hiding in his Delaware basement.
And given Joe Biden’s pitiful approval numbers – 39 percent in the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll – it means Biden’s best place could be out of sight and out of mind.
“I think it’s exactly where Democrats want him to be,” Vice President of Targeted Victory Matt Gorman said in an interview with Fox News. “They don’t want him within 100 miles of any competitive race.”
Talking with reporters in Delaware Biden tried to make it seem like he was active on the campaign trail.
“I’m feeling good. I mean, I’ve been in I guess now 36 constituencies. Either to campaign for a specific candidate or going with a candidate who is doing something like at the bridge out at Pittsburgh,” Biden stated.
“I am going to be all around the country,” Biden added.
It was true that Biden had a grand total of two campaign events planned for the final week.
One was in New York to try and prop up the unpopular and unelected hapless Governor Kathy Hochul.
And Biden’s final event was scheduled for deep blue Maryland where there are no competitive races.
Former Trump Senior White House counselor Kellyanne Conway told Fox News that Biden’s disastrous record on crime, inflation and illegal immigration rendered Biden so toxic that Democrats in races that will decide control of Congress do not want to be seen in public with Biden.
“Biden is back in the basement in Delaware while his Democratic Party struggles to retain control of the House and Senate,” Conway told Fox. “This is fitting, given that Biden’s disastrous policies and habit of ignoring the will of the people as expressed in polls has contributed to his own disapproval rating and the existential threat to a Democratic majority.”
No one has ever seen a president conduct so few campaign events.
Biden’s inactivity ahead of the midterm election is another bread crumb signaling that Biden does not intend to run for a second term in 2024.
