Democrats know that their future prospects are growing worse every day.
And they’re taking ridiculous measures to turn it around.
This new Barack Obama stunt shows just how desperate Democrats are now.
In 2010 in the first midterm election after Barack Obama was elected the Democrats lost a net of 63 House seats. It was the biggest midterm loss since World War Two.
Obama is the last person who could be expected to help Democrats turn around their waning midterm hopes. However, Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman is struggling so badly that he’s turned to Obama for help.
The widely viewed debate between Fetterman and Dr. Mehmet Oz was a disaster for the Democratic candidate who struggled to communicate.
Fetterman had a massive stroke in May and will not release his medical record which would show if he had suffered or to what extent the candidate had suffered brain damage, instead opting to release a letter from his Democratic donor doctor.
Even with the closed captioning Fetterman needed to follow the conversation during the debate he still had significant problems starting with wishing the audience “goodnight” in his opening remarks.
The polls are now showing Oz gaining a lead over Fetterman, gathering an estimated 48 percent of the vote against Fetterman’s 45 percent according to polls conducted by co/efficient and Insider Advantage between October 26 and 28.
So Democrats are now running an ad of Obama urging Pennsylvanians to vote for Democratic candidates in a last-ditch effort to turn things around.
“Obama told Pennsylvanians that their midterm vote would shape the future of American democracy and women’s abortion rights, according to the 15-second ad which was obtained by Axios. Obama’s efforts to ramp up support for the Democrats in Pennsylvania comes after most of the debate audience believed that Fetterman failed to win, according to a recent poll conducted by WXPI.” The Daily Caller reported.
“So when the fate of our democracy and a woman’s right to choose are on the line, vote Democrat on Nov. 8,” Obama said in the video clip.
President Joe Biden is also trying to help Fetterman by campaigning in Pennsylvania.
“John IS Pennsylvania,” Biden said while visiting the Keystone State on Friday, adding: “John leaves nobody behind.”
Later in the speech, pulling up his pants leg, Biden showed off his socks that represented the Phillies baseball team.
“We’ve got a good year going!” he shouted. “The Phillies and the Eagles!”
Fetterman also spoke at the event.
“It’s so much nicer to spend a night with you all than it was with Dr. Oz,” he said.
“Doing the debate, we knew it wasn’t going to be easy — certainly after five weeks, excuse me, five months after having a stroke,” Fetterman said, before proceeding on his usual stump speech.
