Attorney General William Barr is a fair official who does what’s right.
That’s why the Democrat Party is working overtime to destroy him.
But now he’s striking back after making the one announcement that Nancy Pelosi fears.
In recent weeks, Democrats have been focusing their efforts on preventing the Trump administration from adding a question about citizenship to the 2020 census.
They are making progress, with a ruling ordering it not be on the census.
But that progress came into serious doubt with William Barr stating that he has found a way to add the question.
He doesn’t go into details, but in an interview with the Associated Press, he states that he is taking a shot at changing it.
“I agree with him that the Supreme Court decision was wrong,” Barr told the AP. The attorney general added that he thinks there is “an opportunity potentially to cure the lack of clarity that was the problem and we might as well take a shot at doing that.”
Adding the citizenship question is an issue that really isn’t very controversial to the general public, but the Democrat establishment is trying to change that.
Trump has been trying to add a question about citizenship to the 2020 census.
Prior to the 1960’s, the question was on the census with no controversy, which is a way to differentiate legal citizens from non-citizens in households.
But left-wing efforts have had that question stripped from the census for decades.
And President Trump is now working to bring it back, despite intense opposition.
Democrats have good reason to fight the inclusion of a citizenship question.
With the rise of sanctuary cities, there are droves of illegal immigrants living inside Democrat strongholds.
If the citizenship question is in the census, those people will list themselves as such.
And due to the fact that Congressional districts are drawn based on population data in the census, Democrats will benefit from it.
So that’s why they are taking this battle so seriously.
Responding to the citizenship question, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi accuses Trump of racism, while also seeming to acknowledge that they want to count non-citizens in order to give them representation.
“This is about keeping — you know, make America, you know his hat — Make America White Again,” Pelosi said during a press conference. “They want to make sure that people, certain people, are counted. It’s really disgraceful and it’s not what our founders had in mind.”
Pelosi’s answer is ridiculous, considering it will only affect illegal immigrants.
There are already questions about racial demographics on the census to begin with.
But this is one of the things that Democrats like to do when it comes to the immigration debate.
They conflate illegal immigration with legal immigration and tie it entirely into race.
Because the majority of illegal immigrants coming to the United States are of Hispanic descent, they argue that opposing illegal immigration is opposing Hispanics.
But people are seeing through that, especially with Trump’s Hispanic approval rating continually climbing.
