Socialist Bernie Sanders thinks he can beat Trump in 2020.
Just weeks ago he announced his official run for president.
And already his campaign is off to a rocky start after he was smacked with awful news that Trump will love.
If there’s one thing uniting the Democrats running for president, it seems to be their hatred for Israel.
Israelis are more united than ever under their current Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
But Democrats want nothing more than to take him down, simply for being an ally for President Trump and standing up for the interests of his nation.
Earlier this week, Netanyahu was facing an election against a far more left-wing candidate.
And in an unsurprising move, Democrats in America were speaking out against him in his election.
Sanders took it to an entirely new level, stating that he hopes Netanyahu loses just a day before the election.
“When election time comes in Israel, he always tries going even further to the right by appealing to racism within Israel, I think it’s unfortunate,” Sanders said on Monday, according to NBC News. “I’m not a great fan of his, and, frankly, I hope he loses his election.”
It is appalling to call Netanyahu a racist, especially with the amount of bigotry his country faces on a daily basis simply for existing as a Jewish state in the Middle East.
Every single day, violent Palestinian terrorists are trying to destroy Israel, using missiles and other weapons.
And the so-called “racist” actions from Netanyahu are saying that Israel should have secure borders, and refuse to accept floods of “refugees.”
Sanders isn’t the only one making these crazy claims, Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke also stated that Netanyahu is a “racist.”
But despite these attacks from Democrats, Israelis chose to re-elect Netanyahu.
And President Trump is delighted by this news.
Shortly after the news, Trump took to Twitter to congratulate Netanyahu, and to share images from his victory celebration, which featured supporters waving Trump flags alongside Israeli flags.
This signifies just how strong the relationship between the U.S. and Israel is under President Trump.
Trump is doing something most countries aren’t used to, and he’s following through on his promises.
For Israel, that means that the U.S. is withdrawn from the Iran Nuclear Deal, much to the delight of Netanyahu.
Trump has also moved the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, in a move that the Israeli people have been demanding for a very long time.
This is a much different relationship than Isreal had under former President Obama.
Obama was an extreme disappointment to the people of Israel.
And at times, Obama would even become outright aggressive against Netanyahu.
In 2015, one of Obama’s top campaign strategists was working to oust Netanyahu, in an effort ultimately ending in failure.
This isn’t how any president should treat an ally as strong as Israel.
