Beto O’Rourke Presidential campaign is in trouble.
And he’s desperate to claw his way back to the top, he’s resorting to outright lies about the border.
But one jaw-dropping number just destroyed his giant lie.
Beto O’Rourke is in a hole.
The former Democratic Congressman who became famous for losing to Ted Cruz in the 2018 elections is now running for President.
But facing an increasingly crowded field of 20 other Democrats, Beto is having trouble breaking out of the mob of Democratic candidates and topping the field.
He’s now trying any new gimmick he can think of to get his name out there.
And his latest one is claiming that there is no crisis on the southern border.
There’s just one problem with that claim.
It’s a giant lie.
The border is unsecured and thousands of illegal immigrants are pouring through it on a regular basis.
Crime has skyrocketed along the border region as ICE and border patrol are overwhelmed with the flood of illegals entering the country.
And Democrats like Beto in Congress are working every day to block President Trump’s efforts to secure the border by building a wall and deporting illegal immigrants.
Now, a key number just got released that shows how much of a lie Beto’s claim that there is no crisis on the southern border is.
“Border Patrol officials announced that the apprehension of migrant families who crossed the border illegally between ports of entry skyrocketed by 374 percent when compared to the first six months of the last fiscal year,” reports Breitbart.
“Agents apprehended 189,584 Family Unit Aliens (FMUA) during the first six months of Fiscal Year 2018, which began on October 1, 2018. This is up from 39,975 during the same period in Fiscal Year 2018.”
An increase of 374% is a lot.
Even an increase of 74% would have been considered monumental.
But there’s no way that Beto could argue the border is not nearing a breaking point if he seeks this number.
Which suggests that either he’s not educated about what he’s talking about, or he is willingly ignoring the data and statistics that are available on the southern border crisis in order to advance his political narrative.
Either way, he’s not doing what’s good for the country and right for the border.
And yet he wants to become President of the United States.
But Beto seems to be more interested in pandering to foreign aliens than he is American citizens, who he wants to represent as President.
“The Border Patrol is facing an unprecedented humanitarian and border security crisis,” U.S. Border Patrol Chief Law Enforcement Director Brian Hastings told reporters on a conference call on Tuesday. “We’ve arrived at the breaking point.”
These are words and warnings that politicians like Beto are willingly refusing to listen to as they push this false narrative that everything is going ok along the southern border and that America needs to let more illegal immigrants into the country.
