One of the biggest stories of 2018 is the illegal migrant caravan.
Thousands of illegals tried to storm the border while the media was working overtime to defend them.
But the caravan is now ending due to one thing Trump did.
The Central American caravan is full of criminals and gang members.
This is easily proven, but the media ignores it.
In fact, just days ago an MS-13 gang member was caught trying to enter the U.S. by seeking asylum.
The media instead claims it is full of women and children trying to escape horrible conditions in crime-ridden countries.
And they spend as much time as possible convincing their audience of this.
But President Trump sees right through that claim.
Since the start of the caravan, he has been following through on his promise to stop them.
He has U.S. Troops on the border, and they are actively stopping the caravan.
There is barbed wire across certain parts of the border, which is proving to be very effective.
It is for these reasons that the caravan is finally starting to give up.
After a number of unsuccessful rushes of the border, they now realize they are not going to be able to enter illegally.
Their only hope is to gain asylum.
But that isn’t working out for them either.
According to Reuters, thousands of illegal migrants currently in Tijuana, Mexico are heading back to their home countries.
Most of them are realizing that gaining asylum isn’t as easy as they were expecting.
Proving they are asylum cases isn’t an easy thing to do, especially when they are coming through Mexico, a country which is already offering them the opportunity to seek asylum.
And it is much harder due to President Trump’s aggressive enforcement of immigration law.
While former President Barack Obama was in office, a “metering” system was put into effect.
That system limits the amount of asylum cases that can be granted each day.
President Trump is using that system more aggressively than ever before, making it extremely difficult for caravans of thousands of people to make their way in.
An illegal migrant using just her first name, Jessica, explains that the process is much more difficult than she has been expecting.
“Getting asylum is really difficult,” she said. “They ask you for a lot of evidence and it’s impossible. It’s not like they say it is.”
The “they” she is referring to is likely the organizers of the caravan.
Those groups aggressively recruited for the caravan going into the 2018 midterm elections.
Many were hoping to use the caravan to rile up the left-wing base of the Democrat Party, but that backfired.
Instead, it became President Trump’s main talking point on the campaign trail.
In the end, the Democrat “blue wave” turned into a “blue puddle” at best, with Republicans gaining seats in the Senate, despite losing the House.
The end of the midterms has caused much of the talk about the caravan to fizzle away.
But it hasn’t slowed down President Trump’s plans to stop them.
And now, finally, it appears the caravan is done for.
Do you think President Trump is the reason the caravan is failing?
