Chuck Schumer did not see this one coming.
The news he just received could be catastrophic.
And it may prove what conservatives have said all along.
Powerful Senate Democrat Is Trailing in Her Reelection Bid
Schumer is hungry for power.
He needs every Democrat senator to hold their seat this fall.
And he needs just two current Republicans to lose.
Then, the Senate Minority Leader will complete his takeover.
That’s how close he is to taking the gavel from Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
To do that, analysts believe Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) needs to retain her seat.
But it doesn’t look good for her.
At least, not according to the most recent poll.
Her Republican opponent, Josh Hawley just opened a narrow lead.
According to The Missouri Scout’s poll, Hawley leads McCaskill 48% to 46%.
But his lead isn’t the only thing newsworthy in this poll.
Numbers also proved a shocking truth.
One that conservatives predicted would happen.
Are the left’s tactics backfiring?
The same poll asked responders about the Kavanaugh confirmation.
The results are shocking liberals.
It appears the country is wising up to the liberal’s scheme.
That poll was taken amid McCaskill coming out against Trump’s SCOTUS nominee.
And it may be ending the Democrat’s career.
49% of likely voters said the confirmation battle over Kavanaugh made them less likely to vote for the Democrat.
Just 42% said it was more likely to make them vote for her.
Democrats are even losing this battle over one key demographic, women.
The female vote disapproves of their tactics.
47% of female voters said the confirmation process made them less likely to vote for the Democrat.
While only 42% said it makes them more likely.
Anyway, you slice this poll, one thing is clear:
The nation is fed up with the Democrats and their handling of the confirmation process.
How will this affect the Democrat’s impeachment plans?
It’s no secret Democrats want to impeach Trump.
Even on the campaign trail, many Democrats are pledging impeachment.
Others try to dodge the question while giving a wink and a nod to their base.
Still, the reality is, they may not have the votes after November.
If Democrats are to impeach Trump, they’ll need both chambers.
But Most analysts believe this could be an uphill battle.
That’s because the Senate map favors Republicans.
Democrats are unlikely to recapture Senate control.
In fact, Republicans may build on their one-seat majority in the Senate.
Especially given the results of this latest poll.
Americans are fed up with the Democrats.
They watched Democrats smear an innocent man.
And voters aren’t happy about it.
Perhaps Republicans delaying Kavanaugh’s hearing is helping them.
The longer this hearing dominates the news, the more energized Republicans will remain.
And that’s crucial for conservatives if they are to stop the so-called “blue wave” coming.
What do you think? Are all polls hogwash?
