Suspicious packages mailed to top Democrats and CNN rocked the midterm campaign.
Liberals pounced in an effort to use the chaos for political gain.
But CNN went too far and now the network may never recover.
CNN Seizes on Suspicious Packages Mailed to the Network
CNN could not wait to make political hay of the package they received.
Without citing evidence CNN President Jeff Zucker blamed Donald Trump.
“There is a total and complete lack of understanding at the White House about the seriousness of their continued attacks on the media. The President, and especially the White House Press Secretary, should understand their words matter. Thus far, they have shown no comprehension of that.” CNN President Jeff Zucker ranted.
CNN commentators echoed these lies all day.
David Gergen thundered, “Trump unleashed the dogs of hatred in this country from the day he declared he was running for President and they’ve been snarling and barking at each other ever since. It’s just inevitable there are going to be acts of violence that grow out of that.”
Anderson Cooper whined that Trump correctly said the media needed to tone down their hate-filled rhetoric.
“He made no mention of an explosive device sent to this building behind me, the headquarters of CNN, a news organization he routinely attacks. He calls reporters the enemy of the American people… yet, he said it’s the media’s fault.”
Host S.E. Cupp tweeted:
Just another day in Trump’s America
Americans were angered by CNN spreading lies and misinformation.
Their coverage was a great example of why fewer and fewer Americans trust the so-called “mainstream” media.
The FBI did not yet turn up any evidence about the person who mailed the packages motivations.
The White House Responds to CNN’s Lies and Fake News
Sarah Sanders ripped Zucker’s lies and conspiracy theories.
She noted that Trump called for unity and CNN responded with partisan attacks.
Sanders tweeted that Trump asked Americans “to come together and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the USA” Yet you chose to attack and divide. America should unite against all political violence.”
This was not the only lie a CNN pushed about the bombs.
Media reporter Oliver Darcy used a deceptively edited clip to attack Fox News Host Martha McCallum.
McCallum had on FBI agent Jeff Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald helped track down the Unabomber.
He said the bomb could have been sent by an angry conservative, a foreign entity or a Democrat trying to make Republicans look bad.
Darcy tweeted out a clip showing only the part where Fitzgerald said the mail bomb could have been a false flag.
He lied and claimed McCallum should have stopped her guest from spreading conspiracy theories.
But there is no known motivation for the mail packages.
Fitzgerald was merely laying out the range of possibilities investigators could follow.
Misinformation like that is why Americans tune out CNN.
CNN’s coverage since Trump won the election has been a race to the bottom.
They’ve run countless fake news stories and conspiracy theories about the Russian hoax.
They fill their airtime with angry and unhinged liberals who rant and rave about everything Trump does.
It’s why their ratings are tanking.
Nickelodeon draws more Americans than CNN’s hate-filled broadcasts.
But it does not look like CNN will learn its lesson anytime soon.
We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
