CNN is perhaps the most anti-Trump network on television.
They have 24 hour, around the clock anti-Trump coverage.
But even CNN was forced to admit one thing that will give Trump a huge victory.
Trump’s biggest issue is building a wall on the Southern border.
Since the first day of his campaign, he has been calling for it.
But since becoming President, the establishment has been fighting tooth and nail to stop them.
They claim that the wall is too costly, and ineffective.
But they ignore a few simple facts in making those claims.
First, Trump is asking for $5.7 billion for the wall.
Compared to the $200 billion a year cost of illegal immigration, that is a small price to pay.
Also, there is evidence to back a wall working.
Israel has a wall on their border, and it prevents illegal immigrants from entering their country.
Not to mention, in the case of Israel, they are facing much more hostile enemies.
Palestinian terrorists deny the existence of Israel and want to wipe them off the face of the earth.
Every day, countless radical Islamic terrorists try to rush the border but fail because of their wall.
So there’s no real argument against the wall on the border security argument.
In reality, those against the wall are merely against a border entirely.
That’s where CNN comes from when they work overtime to stop Trump’s wall.
But sometimes they try so hard to disprove that walls work that they accidentally make the case for a wall.
That’s what happened to CNN’s Jim Acosta, who is perhaps the loudest anti-Trump voice in the network.
Ahead of Trump’s roundtable meeting at the border, Acosta made a short video trying to prove that Trump is wrong in his calls for a wall.
Standing in front of a small segment of steel fencing in McAllen, TX, Acosta points out that there are no illegal migrants trying to cross into the U.S.
“I found some steel slats down on the border. But I don’t see anything resembling a national emergency situation,” Acosta tweeted.
And in the video, he goes further describing the uneventful situation around him.
“We’re not seeing any imminent danger,” Acosta said in the video. “There are no migrants trying to rush toward this fence. No sign of the national emergency the president has been talking about.”
But in the video, he seems to not understand that he’s making the point for Trump.
Acosta was standing directly in front of a steel fence.
He is proving the exact point that Trump is making, that walls work.
In response, the internet mocked Acosta for proving Trump’s point.
Trump’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale, even thanked him.
“I would like to thank @Acosta for pointing out how peaceful, safe and secure it is at a part of the border that HAS a wall,” Parscale Tweeted.
This clearly isn’t the point Acosta was attempting to make.
But at least he was able to prove that Trump’s wall will work.
