President Trump is CNN’s worst nightmare.
He is able to easily deflect their negative reporting, and turn the story on how terrible their reporting is.
But CNN might not be a problem for Trump anymore after they got news that could take down their entire network.
During the 2016 election, CNN took a major risk by becoming what many referred to as the “Clinton News Network.”
Instead of reporting the news, they simply became the attack wing of Hillary Clinton during her 2016 election. Every story was nothing but negative reporting on Trump and positive reporting on Hillary Clinton.
They were likely hoping that Clinton would become president and that as president she would remember all the good that CNN did for her. But, as everyone now knows, that didn’t work out.
But not only did it not work because Hillary wasn’t elected president, it didn’t work because her opponent and now-President Trump destroyed CNN for seeing an alliance with Clinton.
While CNN was running constant negative news pieces on Trump, Trump was going after CNN.
He coined the now-famous term “fake news” to describe them. And as then-candidate Trump became everything the media wanted to talk about, his words began gaining more weight than CNN had at the time.
This proved to be bad news for CNN because along with losing the 2016 election, they also lost a lot of viewers. The most recent reporting shows that CNN is the least watched major news network on television.
And while CNN was the least watched, the most watched news network was Fox News, which is the network of choice for President Trump. Fox News had an average of 1.409 million viewers at any one time.
While Fox News garnered 1.409 million views at a time, MSNBC and CNN did terrible in comparison. In fact, both CNN and MSNBC didn’t even bring as many viewers as Fox if you combined both of their viewers.
MSNBC averaged 930,000 views with CNN averaging 658,000 viewers.
But that was the total average viewers. When you get down to prime time viewers, things become even worse for CNN.
During primetime hours, Fox News brings in an average of 2.447 million viewers, while CNN only brought in 929,000 viewers. So CNN could never average a million viewers, even during prime time coverage.
This major disparity in viewers likely has to do with the biased coverage found on CNN. While leftists like to claim that Fox News is biased, they clearly are coming at that from the position of someone who hasn’t watched Fox News.
Fox consistently has people from diverse viewpoints on their shows.
The only time that CNN has someone from a non-liberal viewpoint on their show is to smear them. They have become infamous for “interviewing” Republican politicians and pundits.
During the interviews, they rail them with negative questions designed to make the Republican look bad.
In contrast, when CNN hosts a Democrat, especially one they like, they get extremely positive treatment and coverage.
Viewers clearly got tired of that and began changing the channel.
