The election grows closer everyday.
The Democrats thought they could win.
Now, Dan Bongino’s latest report carries bad news for the Democrats.
A subject of hot debate is Biden’s slowly worsening cognitive health, and for good reason.
Constantly forgetting where he is, unable to give unassisted speeches, and only answering a pre-chosen list of questions, Biden cannot seem to run his own campaign anymore.
And some of his latest appearances just drive that point home.
In one video, Biden stumbles and mumbles his way through the questions, pausing so frequently and for so long, it is starting to concern even the most devoted audience.
He bumbled so badly, this video sparked a host of new memes.
But that wasn’t even the worst.
In another press conference, Biden disastrously stated, “Even Dr. King’s assassination did not have the worldwide impact that George Floyd’s death did.”
While Floyd’s death was undeniably horrific and tragic, Biden’s comparison does an enormous disservice to King and his work.
In trying to keep ahead of the demands of his followers, Biden threw logic out the window.
At this point, the Democrats are pointing him at a screen and hoping he can make it through without drawing too much concern.
Unfortunately for them, his situation is getting near impossible to cover up.
On Sunday, Dan Bongino tweeted a post which brought the concern for Biden as well as the future of the Democrats’ campaign to light.
“Not a joke and not hyperbole – I’m hearing from people close to the situation that Biden’s cognitive decline is rapidly worsening and is becoming increasingly difficult to mask. The Democrats are going to have to make a decision soon.”
This statement brings to light the hard truth.
Biden’s health is sliding downward and there is not much the Democrats can do at this point.
As Bongino pointed out, the real question is what the Democrats plan to do.
Are they going to try and stick it out until November or will they throw in the towel and finally admit Biden is in no condition to be President?
Unfortunately for them, there is no clear second nominee.
The Democrats could try to promote Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, but it is doubtful a move like that would be well received.
It seems more likely they will try to ride it out until November and hope the coronavirus continues to cover up for them.
They dread the day Trump calls for a one-on-one debate.
They are counting on the fact that Biden can win without having to debate anyone or campaign in person at all.
And their arrogance will be their downfall.
If Biden manages to win the presidential campaign, what happens next?
If Bongino is right and Biden is slowly approaching a mental point of no return, what happens to the presidency?
The answers to these questions are unclear.
This is a situation America has never faced before and the outcome will drastically impact the country, no matter which way the tide turns.
