One piece of news has the entire deep state in a frenzy.
Their biggest ally could be just days away from losing his job.
And it all comes down to one meeting with President Trump.
A Deep State Agent Exposed
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is in a world of trouble.
A bombshell exposed by the New York Times proves just how deep into the deep state he is.
Their story alleges that Rosenstein discussed putting on a wire to secretly record the president.
And it also claims he discussed using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
This isn’t a surprising development for anybody who has been following Rosenstein’s time in power.
He is the official who ordered the formation of Robert Mueller’s special counsel.
He did that using shady bits of evidence as justification.
The main piece of info used is the infamous FISA warrant used to spy on the Trump campaign in 2016.
And that warrant uses the Russia dossier as its main piece of info.
Hillary Clinton and the DNC funded the dossier.
Not only that, but the dossier has never been verified.
Rumors Of Resignation
The New York Times report put Rosentein’s future into doubt.
If true, it exposes that Rosenstein was working to remove President Trump, and secretly record him.
And that is more than enough justification for his firing.
But it may not need to come to that.
Reports in recent days claim Rosenstein spoke with White House Chief of Staff John Kelly about resigning.
The initial reports claim he verbally resigned.
But later reports claim that didn’t happen.
In short, nobody really knows what happened.
But what is known is that Rosenstein will be meeting with President Trump.
The meeting, occurring later this week could be his resignation.
Or Trump could even fire him at the meeting.
There’s no way to really know.
President Trump is unconventional and unpredictable.
And that’s a big reason his supporters love him.
Bad News For The Deep State
Regardless of what happens, this is bad news for the deep state.
Rosenstein leaving his position, either by resignation or firing creates a big problem.
He is their strongest leader in the government today.
As Deputy Attorney General, he is a high-level official.
And he has major power over the Mueller investigation.
He is able to protect Mueller better than anybody else.
If he is gone, Trump has the opportunity to put one of his allies into power.
And they are sure to be harsh on Mueller.
Or at least much harsher than Rosenstein ever will be.
So this development will likely lead towards Mueller speeding up his investigation.
In case of Rosenstein being removed, he will want to get as much done as possible first.
And that’s also why Democrats are ramping up efforts to protect Mueller.
They are pushing a bill to create protocols in the case of Trump firing Mueller.
Those include an appeal process and the protection of his staff.
So while there is no telling what will happen, all that is clear is that things are changing quickly.
Do you think Trump should fire Rosenstein?
