The deep state is very real and is made up of some of the most powerful people in the world.
Their unified goal at the current time is to take down President Donald Trump.
And a smoking gun just exposed one of their plots to take him down.
Figuring out who his friends are is the biggest challenge for President Donald Trump.
His White House is full of figures who oppose everything Trump believes in.
They work side-by-side with the President every day but have a deeper loyalty, and only stick around to defy Trump at every turn they can.
Trump is working on removing those people and is having relative success.
But one of the biggest deep state influencers in Trump’s administration somehow continues to slip by.
That person is Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Rosenstein has long been one of the most prominent figures in pushing forward plans to take down the President.
He is the reason for Robert Mueller’s entire special counsel investigation into so-called Russia collusion.
To form that investigation, Rosenstein used the FISA warrant against Trump adviser Carter Page as evidence.
That warrant uses information found in Christopher Steele’s salacious dossier against President Trump, which was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee.
So he is far from a reputable figure Trump can trust.
But now a smoking gun proves just how deep he is in the deep state.
In a new book, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe spills a lot of information about the inner-workings of the FBI and the Trump administration.
He reveals a conversation in the wake of former FBI Director James Comey’s firing, where officials in his administration considered removing Trump from office using the 25th Amendment.
“There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment,” CBS News’ Scott Pelley said, in a preview of an upcoming interview with McCabe.
The book also reveals that during these conversations, Rosenstein brought up the idea of secretly recording the President during meetings.
This is something that has long been rumored, first being reported by the New York Times.
But this is the first time there is a solid confirmation backing these assertions.
It proves that Rosenstein is actively working to take down the President while working under him.
It is akin to treason, considering it is complete defiance designed to ultimately take down an elected President.
President Donald Trump has long hinted at removing Rosenstein from his position.
In recent months there have been countless reports that Trump is about to fire Rosenstein.
But somehow, he remains in his position.
This news may change that, as it confirms the very worst rumor about his behavior while in his position.
Do you think Trump should fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein?
