All hell is breaking loose in America. 2020 has seen race riots, pandemics, and mass unemployment.
But now Donald Trump is facing an unthinkable threat.
This top Democrat just said Donald Trump’s life is in danger for one reason.
Donald Trump is trying to stop the Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots in Democrat-run cities.
Democrat mayors and governors refuse to restore order on their streets by calling in the National Guard and requesting additional federal resources.
To that end, President Trump signed a memo ordering the Office of Management and Budget to examine which federal funds allocated to Democrat-run cities like Portland and New York that refuse to put down the riots can be reprogrammed.
The President explained his decision on social media.
“My Administration will do everything in its power to prevent weak mayors and lawless cities from taking Federal dollars while they let anarchists harm people, burn buildings, and ruin lives and businesses. We’re putting them on notice today,” President Trump wrote on Twitter.
That led to a furious response from New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo – who critics accuse of killing thousands of New Yorkers by mandating nursing homes take in coronavirus patients – called a press conference and threatened that Democrats would murder Donald Trump on the street unless he brought an army with him to protect him if he ever came to New York City.
“He better have an army if he thinks he’s gonna walk down the street in New York. New Yorkers don’t want to have anything to do with him,” Cuomo threatened.
“He can’t have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City, people don’t want to have anything to do with him,” Cuomo added.
Cuomo then claimed the President’s memo was illegal.
“It is more of the same from him. It’s political, it is gratuitous. And it’s illegal. But it is another attempt to kill New York City,” Cuomo added.
At the end of the call, Cuomo realized he went too far and his comments could come across as threatening the President’s life.
So Cuomo tried to walk back his outrageous comments.
“My comment about the president and bodyguards in New York City, all I’m saying is that he is persona non grata in New York City. And I think he knows that. And he’ll never come back to New York, because New Yorkers will never forget how gratuitously mean he has been to New Yorkers and how many times he’s tried to kill the city that gave him his start and birthed him. That’s what I meant about the bodyguards,” Cuomo stated.
New York City is in trouble.
A photograph of a line of New Yorkers standing in line outside a U-Haul store went viral on social media as New York City faces a population exodus as Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Cuomo refuse to restore order.
Shootings and murders have spiked across the city to levels not seen in years.
And Governor Cuomo expressed more outrage and hurled threatening language at the President of the United States trying to stop the riots than the rioters killing people on the streets of his state’s largest city.
