William Barr continues to infuriate the Democrat Party.
All it takes to send them into a rage is him doing his job fairly.
And now the Democrat Party is going to riot after Barr did one thing.
Illegal immigrants are working with high-level lawyers, using funds from left-wing billionaires, to make a mockery of U.S. border laws.
These lawyers are working with these criminal illegal aliens to help craft asylum claims to prevent their deportations.
One of the major asylum arguments comes from illegal immigrants who claim they are receiving harassment from gangs.
It is a claim that virtually any illegal immigrant can make, due to the fact that it is virtually impossible to prove wrong with Mexico and Central America being so overrun with gangs.
That’s why Attorney General William Barr just ruled that being a member of a family harassed by gangs is not enough to qualify to asylum.
“While the Board has recognized certain clans and subclans as ‘particular social groups,’ most nuclear families are not inherently socially distinct and therefore do not qualify as ‘particular social groups,’” read Barr’s conclusion, according to a Justice Department official.
“Further, as almost every alien is a member of a family of some kind, categorically recognizing families as particular social groups would render virtually every alien a member of a particular social group. There is no evidence that Congress intended the term ‘particular social group’ to cast so wide a net,” Barr’s findings continued.
This decision follows the case of a Mexican national attempting to gain asylum during his second deportation proceeding, in a case known simply as “Matter L-E-A.”
The case is named after the asylum seeker, who documents refer to by his initials, L-E-A.
In the case, the man going through deportation proceedings made an asylum claim that his father’s store in Mexico is the target of drug cartels attempting to force his father to sell drugs.
And due to his proximity to the store, the man claims he has become a target of the drug cartels as well.
Ultimately, authorities still chose to deport the man, but not before establishing that L-E-A was a part of a recognized group.
That means that while he did not qualify for asylum, somebody could later use similar arguments to apply.
That’s at least until this week when Barr chose to strike that part of the ruling.
This is just yet another win in a string of victories from President Trump on the border.
In late May, President Trump threatened Mexico with a 5% tariff, which will continue to increase unless they begin securing their border.
Mexico quickly gave in, increasing their operations on the border, which has resulted in a noticeable decrease in those attempting to cross the U.S. border.
On top of that, the Supreme Court just made a ruling last week securing $2.5 billion in wall funding for President Trump.
Trump has also secured an agreement with Guatemala, requiring citizens of that country to first apply for asylum in their home country instead of doing so at the U.S. border.
So overall, things are going well for President Trump.
Do you think Trump is doing a good job on the border?
