Stopping Trump is the number one goal of the Democrats.
And in their crusade, they are trying to pick up any ally possible.
That’s why they just asked Paul Ryan to do the unthinkable to stop Trump.
Lame Duck Ryan
Earlier this year Speaker Paul Ryan shocked the world with one announcement.
He said that he will not be running for re-election.
It was at that moment that both the anti-establishment and the establishment saw an opportunity.
The anti-establishment of the Republican Party has the ability to replace Ryan with a more solid pick.
And the establishment has the ability to take advantage of Ryan not having to face re-election.
Without having voters to worry about, Paul Ryan has the ability to get away with more.
He can either support a more conservative agenda or use his newfound freedom to go after Trump.
After all, Paul Ryan and President Trump aren’t the best of friends.
Trump has been highly critical of him, with Speaker Ryan firing back at times.
For that reason, the left has been coming out trying to convince Ryan to spite Trump.
Far-left NBC host Chuck Todd is making the strongest plea.
While falsely claiming that Trump has committed a federal crime, Todd came out asking Ryan to do the unthinkable.
He told Ryan that right now is his last chance to “hop off the train” and stop Trump.
Todd stated that to save his legacy Ryan needs to push Trump’s impeachment.
As Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan has a lot of power on that front.
So he is a valuable asset to the anti-Trump establishment.
Impeachment Plans Ramping Up
The plan to impeach Trump has been ramping up for months.
Just recently, Democrat mega-donor Tom Steyer pledged $110 million to the upcoming midterm elections.
He is hoping to take back the House and Senate, allowing Democrats to push impeachment.
While that is the more practical approach, it is still a long-shot.
Democrats very well may take back the House.
The numbers are starting to look in their favor.
But still, Republicans have strong momentum.
And while taking back the House is a real possibility, the Senate is another story.
Huge Republican Approval
Republicans are currently holding strong approval compared to Democrats.
President Trump has a remarkably high approval rating compared to Obama at the same point in his presidency.
Trump especially touts strong support in his own party.
Republican approval of Trump is upwards of 70 percent.
That number is higher than any Republican in history at the same point in their presidency.
The only exception is George W. Bush, who had a boost in approval after 9/11.
Trump’s approval comes because of the strong economy.
Currently, unemployment is hitting near historic lows.
And the stock market is surging.
As long as things keep looking up, Republicans will do well, making impeachment virtually impossible.
But that won’t stop Democrats, who are hoping to do anything in their power to stop him.
Do you think Democrats will be able to impeach Trump?
