Joe Biden and the corporate media thought they held a winning hand.
But the left thought wrong.
And Democrats will be furious when they see how Joe Rogan destroyed Joe Biden’s big lie about guns.
As sure as the sun sets in the west and rises in the east Joe Biden and the corporate media seized on a tragedy to demand new laws empowering the government to disarm law-abiding American citizens.
Popular podcaster Joe Rogan dismantled the well-worn playbooks Biden and the Democrats use to leverage mass shootings for political gain.
Speaking to fellow podcast host Lex Fridman, Rogan told listeners that America did not have a problem with firearms.
“I wrote this thing once that I said, this country has a mental health problem disguised as a gun problem. And that’s what it is,” Rogan began.
No proposed laws – background checks, raising the age of rifle purchases, or red flag confiscation laws – are guaranteed to stop shootings.
In fact, New York has some of the strictest gun control laws on the books – including a red flag confiscation law – and the toughest gun control in America failed to stop a demented racist from committing a mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket.
Rogan warned that there are between 350 million and 400 million guns in America and full-scale confiscation of every firearm – which is the end goal for gun grabbers – would leave the government able to impose tyranny on America.
“There’s so many guns, there’s more guns than there are people. I don’t think it’s a gun situation,” Rogan stated. “I don’t think it’s wise to take the guns away from the people and leave all the power to the government.”
Americans need to look no further than Australia.
Australia confiscated firearms following a mass shooting leaving the population defenseless.
When COVID hit the Australian government imposed a dystopian biomedical surveillance state putting infected citizens in concentration camps and monitoring and surveilling the population’s movements and even using the military on the streets to support this fascist COVID regime.
Rogan noted that the police are understaffed and often times ineffective in stopping criminals and thus Americans need firearms to defend themselves.
“The situation is should you be able to own a gun to defend yourself if you’re a law-abiding citizen and you know that the police are horribly understaffed and you know, that crime and violence are real things?”
The Uvalde police – which sat outside Robb Elementary School for an hour while the shooter massacred students and teachers – shows the danger of citizens entrusting their self-defense entirely to the government.
Rogan then attacked the newfound fascination with red flag confiscation laws, which allow anti-gun judges to seize on flimsy pretexts to allow police to kick down doors and confiscate firearms.
“What should we do? Should we red flag, any kid who writes an awful poem or draw something fucked up on his notebook?” Rogan continued.
Fridman agreed noting that red flag laws would infringe on civil liberties and violate due process.
“The kid, this particular, uh, gentleman, I think on his 18th birthday got two AR two rifles,” Fridman added. “He somehow was able to afford two rifles and ammunition — there’s a lot of people saying, well you should red flag it. If you post pictures of guns or have any kind of the symptoms at all of somebody that might be able to commit this kind of crime, but that’s pushing surveillance.”
Rogan agreed saying these dangerous red flag laws would allow gun grabbers to disarm gun collectors and enthusiasts.
“What about people that are just gun enthusiasts?” Rogan stated. “There’s people that love handguns the way some people love watches. There’s people that are enthusiasts of, you know, gun engineering.”
“Yeah. And that’s most of them,” Fridman declared. “So it’s much more a mental health problem…. This is a tragedy, but it’s, there’s also an element to this that it’s a tragedy the way a hurricane is a tragedy. That there are cruel things happen[ing] in this world. There is this tragic, unexpected, dark things happen in this world. And it’s dangerous to generalize from those problems into something like what I hear about there’s a race war or there’s a gun control problem.”
Fridman concluded by slamming politicians like Joe Biden that jump at the chance to exploit tragedy to advance their anti-gun agenda.
“There’s people [who] sort of leverage these tragedies to make some kind of political statement. Some kind of societal statement versus dark evil shit happens in this world.”
“Well, I think also people try to formulate solutions to problems as if these problems have a limited amount of variables,” Rogan summarized.
