Joe Biden’s campaign has reached its breaking point.
He is desperately looking to the Democratic leadership to save him.
However, the DNC killed Joe Biden’s presidential campaign with just twelve words.
The Democrats show the contempt they have for democracy with the way they twist their party’s primary results.
On his own, Joe Biden didn’t look like he had a shot at winning the nomination.
It looked as if Bernie Sanders was sure to be the Democrats’ nominee on the eve of Super Tuesday.
The Democratic leadership worked behind the scenes and played their cards right to have Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar drop out of the race.
Biden was useful to the Democratic leadership because they knew a wild, out of control radical like Bernie Sanders could hurt them if he was chosen to be the nominee.
Joe Biden seemed like a far safer choice to go with, under the circumstances.
However, much has changed in the world in the past two months.
The accusations of sexual assault from Tara Reade, a former aide in his Senate office, are hard for Joe Biden to escape from.
Partly because Biden said himself back during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings that the predisposition should always be towards believing the woman when there are accusations of sexual assault.
Joe Biden is making the situation worse for himself by not being forthcoming with the information that would help clear his name if he was innocent.
He’s not allowing the University of Delaware to release any part of his sealed Senate record.
He claimed that The New York Times cleared him of Tara Reade’s accusations with their “deep dive” into them, but The New York Times denied that they had cleared him.
“As is so often the case in such situations, it is all but impossible to be certain of the truth. But the stakes are too high to let the matter fester — or leave it to be investigated by and adjudicated in the media. Mr. Biden is seeking the nation’s highest office,” The New York Times wrote on Saturday.
They suggested instead that it was the proper job of the DNC to conduct such an investigation, but the DNC has declined to investigate the claims, saying, “He went through a thorough vetting process to be Obama’s Vice President.”
“This is an absurd suggestion on its face. Regardless of whether it’s the job of DNC to do this kind of thing, it’s already been done,” the DNC said in a statement. “Joe Biden has been clear in responding to this allegation, he went through a thorough vetting process to be Obama’s Vice President in 2008 (which is a vetting process like no other) and lawyers and the press found nothing, and he has asked for transparency by requesting that all relevant documents be released if they exist.”
By not investigating the charges, the DNC is making it easier for them to get rid of Biden as a nominee if he loses too many voters.
They’ve made it clear that they aren’t going to save Joe Biden from himself this time.
He’s on his own now.
