The unjustified riots in America are getting completely out of hand.
Even some Democrats are willing to admit that the current violence helps no one.
Donald Trump got a heartfelt apology from one person he never expected.
Everyone in America should be willing to stand against looting, property damage, and violent crimes.
Jacob Blake was shot by police as he lunged into a vehicle; according to police reports, he was armed with a knife, police had first tried to subdue him with a taser and tried non-lethal force to stop him first.
Blake had been charged on July 6th with sexual assault, trespassing, and domestic abuse.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the probe into the incident and it has not yet been determined whether the use of lethal force was justified or not.
If the shooting of Jacob Blake was unjustified, the officer responsible should answer for his actions in a court of law.
Instead, the protesters have worked to destroy the local businesses in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and have decimated a small city with just under 100,000 people.
Julia Jackson, Blake’s mother, wants the protests to stop and apologized to Trump for missing his phone call.
“My family and I are very hurt, and quite frankly disgusted,” Jackson told CNN’s Don Lemon. “And as his mother, please don’t burn up property and cause havoc and tear your own homes down in my son’s name. You shouldn’t do it. People shouldn’t do it anyway, but to use my child or any other mother or father’s child, our tragedy, to react in that manner is just not acceptable. And it’s not helping Jacob. It’s not helping Jacob or any other of the men or women who has suffered in these areas.”
Violent protests don’t help anyone, they just create more suffering and injustice.
Later in the interview, Jackson was asked if she had anything to say to any elected officials. “For our President Trump, first I want to say a family member — and I don’t know if it was heard or not — said something that was not kind. She is hurting, and I do apologize for that. Our outburst does not reflect our behavior. And also, for President Trump, I’m sorry I missed your call because had I not missed your call, maybe the comments that you made would have been different. And I’m not mad at you at all. I have the utmost respect for you as the leader of our country. Like I said before, and I’m not saying this to him directly, we should always get the details from the right source before we start throwing bricks.”
The violent protesters aren’t even helping the people that they are using as an excuse for their destruction.
