President Trump counted on Senate Republicans to stand by him in an impeachment trial to survive the Democrats’ witch hunt.
Many of the so-called “experts” questioned if Republican Senators would stand by the President in the face of Adam Schiff’s tightly planned onslaught of selective leaks and Deep State witnesses.
And then Donald Trump got hit with a huge impeachment surprise that changed everything.
For weeks, the fake and corrupt news media trumpeted polls showing support for impeachment growing.
Schiff’s plan to keep witnesses’ testifying behind closed doors and then selectively leaking portions of their opening statements to the press built momentum behind the Democrats’ impeachment investigation.
But eventually, the Republicans’ attacks on the rigged process took their toll.
A brand new Morning Consult poll found a four-point drop in support for impeachment.
Morning Consult reported:
The latest Morning Consult/Politico poll found that 47 percent of voters favor the House voting to impeach Trump, down 4 percentage points from the share that backed it in an Oct. 11-13 poll. At the same time, 43 percent of voters oppose the House impeaching Trump, statistically in line with figures from the four other polls conducted on the issue since House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced her support for the impeachment inquiry in late September. Each of the surveys have a 2-point margin of error.
The second punch in a one-two combination of polls showing the Ukraine witch hunt backfiring on the Democrats came from Monmouth University.
That poll demonstrated Schiff’s decision to run a Stalinist kangaroo court convinced Americans the Democrats were running a partisan and untrustworthy process.
Monmouth Pollster Patrick Murray reported:
Just 24% say they have a lot of trust in how the House impeachment inquiry has been conducted so far, 29% have a little trust, and 44% have no trust at all. Among those who support impeaching and removing Trump from office, 46% have a lot of trust in the process so far, 40% have a little trust, and 12% have no trust. Among those who oppose impeachment, just 6% have a lot of trust and 20% have a little trust, while 71% have no trust.
Monmouth also found that Americans believed the proper way to settle Donald Trump’s political fate was at the ballot box.
Murray also wrote:
Most Americans (59%) agree with the statement that “if you want Trump out of office, it makes more sense to focus on next year’s election rather than go through an impeachment process now.” Just one-third of the public (34%) disagrees with this view. Even among those who support removing Trump from office via impeachment, 4-in-10 (39%) actually agree that focusing on next year’s election provides a better opportunity to remove him from office.
“Even many who would like to impeach Trump seem to feel that beating him at the polls in 2020 is actually a better strategy for ousting him from office,” said Murray.
These polls undercut the fake news media narrative that Republican Senators need to cut bait with Donald Trump in order to save their political fortunes, which is nothing but lies.
Fake and corrupt news media so-called “reporters” only push that line to bully and frighten GOP Senators into cutting their own throats and voting to remove Donald Trump from office.
