Donald Trump and Fox News are in conflict.
The President and many of his supporters noticed that the network is trying to be more like CNN.
And Donald Trump may never watch Fox News again after what Fox said about him.
“Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace is one of the deans of the Washington fake news media establishment.
Whenever liberal media critics attack Fox News as “state TV,” the network points to Wallace’s often times hysterical anti-Trump coverage as evidence that Fox is not in the tank for Donald Trump.
During the most recent broadcast of Fox News Sunday, Wallace and former conservative and current Never Trump spiritual leader Jonah Goldberg attacked White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany for standing up to the fake news media’s unending barrage of partisan attacks on President Trump.
During a press briefing, McEnany turned the tables on the fake news and pressed these so-called “journalists” as to why they never asked Barack Obama about his administration’s efforts to frame Lt. General Michael Flynn and other members of the Trump campaign – including Donald Trump himself – for being Russian agents.
Wallace took great offense to this and defended the Obama administration’s Deep State coup against Trump with a false equivalency about unmasking in the Trump administration.
“Unmasking is pretty routine. It’s an effort by people in an administration to find out who a masked person is. It happens in the Trump White House. It happened I think 16,000 times the year before last. What’s a crime is leaking it, but unmasking isn’t. In addition to which, I have to say that if Kayleigh McEnany had told Sam Donaldson and me what questions we should ask, that would not have gone well,” Wallace began.
Goldberg – who now spends his days attacking female Trump supporters and virtue signaling on Twitter – joined right in and bashed McEnany as a Twitter troll, calling her behavior “grotesque” and “indefensible.”
“I think her behavior is indefensible and grotesque. I think that what she has done is — there’s this cliche in Washington that President Trump wants Roy Cohn as DOJ, as attorney general,” Goldberg began.
“What Donald Trump wants in a press secretary is a Twitter troll who goes on attack, doesn’t actually care about doing the job they have, and instead wants to impress really an audience of one and make another part of official Washington another one of these essentially cable news and Twitter gladiatorial arenas and it’s a sign of the defining of deviancy down in our politics, and it’s only going to make things worse,” Goldberg concluded.
Goldberg – of course – failed to note that fake news reporters like Jim Acosta were the ones that turned press briefings into “gladiatorial arenas” by acting like the briefing room was the main event of WrestleMania and shouting loaded partisan questions read right off of Democrat Party talking points and playing to the cameras to generate conflict with the administration.
