Joe Biden’s administration is imploding rapidly.
And it’s causing major long-term problems.
Donald Trump said ten words that made Joe Biden weak at the knees.
Former President Donald Trump slammed Democrat President Joe Biden in a statement on Saturday for his withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The dangerous conditions led to the deaths of 13 U.S. soldiers and despite his many promises, Biden left numerous Americans behind.
“For the great people of our Country, this is very a sad day,” Trump’s statement began. “September 11th represents great sorrow for our Country. Many things were displayed that day, including most importantly the bravery of our police, fire, and first responders of every kind. The job they did was truly unbelievable. We love them, and we thank them.
“It is also a sad time for the way our war on those that did such harm to our country ended last week, the loss of 13 great warriors and the many more who were wounded, should never have happened,” Trump said in the video. “It was caused by bad planning, incredible weakness and leaders who truly didn’t understand what was happening. This is the 20th year of this war, and should have been a year of victory and honor, and strength.”
Trump’s criticism of Biden comes amid reports that the Biden administration’s State Department went silent for a week as a congressional office tried to evacuate Americans from Afghanistan.
California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa told The Daily Caller that the State Department wasn’t proactive in trying to get Americans out.
“The State Department should have been in the lead rescuing Americans from the Afghanistan crisis it helped to create,” Issa said. “Instead, like the President, it has been a bystander, except for its unambiguous message to stranded citizens that they are on their own.”
Issa’s office provided The Daily Caller with a record of their email exchange with the Department of State which showed that it took well into September for them to get responses for requests for help.
“Issa’s office initially reached out to the State Department Aug. 30 to request ‘an immediate meeting with State Department officials to receive a briefing on the steps being taken to return our citizens home to safety and answer questions as to the methods being employed,’” The Daily Caller noted.
The Department officials reportedly responded asking about Americans, SIVs, and others they knew needed evacuation which Issa’s office says they provided.
However, the State Department evaded requests from Issa on help for specific individuals, instead of inviting him to a general House briefing.
“Regardless of the briefing we are requesting a personal meeting with State Officials to answer direct questions about our specific cases,” Issa’s office wrote in an email back. “The whole of Congress does not need to hear every single detail of our cases. But you do. Please advise on a date and time to connect within 24 hours.”
The State Department didn’t respond to her until September 8th.
The way the Biden administration handled the withdrawal failed Americans.
