Donald Trump is facing a witch hunt on every front.
Democrats are crowing about a better-than-expected midterm performance.
Donald Trump’s lawyer threw him a curveball that will wreck the Democrats.
In the face of the January 6 committee witch hunt Donald Trump hired prominent conservative lawyer Harmeet Dhillon to represent him in this case.
But now Dhillon is looking to step away from that case to challenge failed Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel who has now presided over three consecutive losing cycles.
Dhillon announced her challenge to McDaniel in an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show.
In explaining why she intended to challenge McDaniel, Dhillon told Carlson and his viewers that the GOP needed to join the 21st century, outcompete Democrats in early voting and update the party’s messaging as well as its fundraising practices.
“I think that we really need to radically re-shape our leadership in order to win. And we can’t keep running elections like we did in the ’90s and the 2000s and we really have to modernize to compete with the Democrats dollar-for-dollar in the ways they fundraise, the way they deliver their ballots to the ballot boxes. Our messaging needs to be fresh and positive and not just reactive to news cycles and what the Democrats are doing,” Dhillon stated.
Dhillon added that Republican elites also needed to come to grips with the fact that populist conservatives dominated the party’s base.
RINO Senate Minority Mitch McConnell ignored this fact and rammed through gun control, homosexual marriage, and is allowing RINO Senator Thom Tillis to negotiate an amnesty bill for millions of illegal aliens.
Dhillon argued that Republicans needed to drop the elite’s delusions and push policies that appeal to its actual voters.
“And I think that the party needs to realize that the party has become a populist party. The base of the party demands populist messages that speak to them and not Chamber of Commerce messages, not neocon messages, not warmonger messages and I’m afraid that the base of our party is not getting what it needs from our leadership. And so, after three successive rounds of really disappointing results, Tucker, I’m a member of the RNC and no other member is stepping up to challenge leadership, and our current leadership has never been challenged for the chair job and I think that challenge and competition is very good,” Dhillon explained.
Republicans clearly need new leadership at the Republican National Committee.
Under Chairwoman McDaniel’s leadership Republicans have not experienced one winning election cycle.
Republicans are now heading into the 2024 election desperate for a win.
The Senate map favors Republicans and Joe Biden’s approval rating is 41 percent.
But the GOP needs competent leadership and messaging.
Harmeet Dhillon challenging Ronna McDaniel for the chair of the Republican National Committee is the start of rebooting the party heading into 2024.
