Americans continue to learn more disturbing truths about Dr. Fauci and the coronavirus.
This latest bombshell has all hell breaking loose.
And Dr. Fauci doesn’t want anyone to find out about this scandal from his past.
Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases funneled $600,000 in grant money to EcoHealth Alliance which laundered the money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for experiments on bat coronaviruses.
Under questioning from Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, Fauci at first claimed this money never supported gain-of-function research—which studies making viruses more transmissible or jump between species.
When pressed about how Fauci knew the money never funded gain-of-function research, Fauci admitted he actually had no idea what the Communist Chinese scientists did with the money.
In subsequent testimony, Fauci went even further and stated that it would have been derelict not to work with these Chinese scientists.
The news gets even worse.
The Australian media dug up a 2012 paper Dr. Fauci authored for the American Society for Microbiology where Fauci boasted of the benefits of gain-of-function research despite knowing the possibility it could cause a global pandemic.
“In an unlikely but conceivable turn of events, what if that scientist becomes infected with the virus, which leads to an outbreak and ultimately triggers a pandemic? Scientists working in this field might say-as indeed I have said that the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweighs the risks,” Fauci stated.
Fauci soothed readers worried about the dangers of risky gain-of-function research by predicting that a pandemic would be much more likely to originate in nature than escape into the world via a lab accident.
“It is more likely that a pandemic would occur in nature, and the need to stay ahead of such a threat is a primary reason for performing an experiment that might appear to be risky,” Fauci added. “Within the research community, many have expressed concern that important research progress could come to a halt just because of the fear that someone, somewhere, might attempt to replicate these experiments sloppily. That is a valid concern.”
Fauci’s nearly decade-old boosting of gain-of-function research looks even worse in light of the mounting evidence that the coronavirus pandemic began when the virus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology via a lab accident.
Fauci’s initial stance that the pandemic began when the virus jumped from bats to humans no longer looks like merely a wrong prediction.
It looks like a cover story.
