Sen. Elizabeth Warren likes to claim that she’s Native American.
There has been heavy skepticism of this claim, and President Trump regularly mocks her for it.
And Elizabeth Warren just got terrible news from the last person she’d expect.
As it turns out, President Donald Trump isn’t the only person critical of her claim of being part Native American.
An actual descendent of Pocahontas also is skeptical of her Native American heritage.
Debbie “White Dove” Porreco, who is a descendant of the actual Pocahontas, went to Fox News to ask Sen. Warren to take a DNA test to prove that she’s Native American.
It is unlikely that she will do this.
She has claimed that she has Native American ancestry for a long time, and many didn’t question it.
But just a cursory look at her casts doubt.
It took President Donald Trump to really put pressure on her.
He has been in the airwaves for calling her “Pocahontas” in a mocking tone.
While many considered that nickname as “racist,” many had no issue with it.
Debbie Porreco is one of the people who had no issue with it.
As reported by The Daily Caller:
“Debbie “White Dove” Porreco, a descendant of Pocahontas, told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that she wants Elizabeth Warren to take a DNA test to prove her claims of Native American ancestry.
“How do you view Senator Warren’s claim that she is an American Indian, do you believe her?” The Daily Caller co-founder asked.
“Well, I respect Senator Warren as a U.S. senator, but I just wish she’d take the DNA test, and if she took the DNA test, then that would end a lot of this controversy. And if she was part American Indian, I’d be the first one to welcome her into our heritage,” Porreco answered.
“Well, amen, maybe she’s related to Pocahontas too,” Carlson said. “I mean, weirder things have happened. Why do you think she won’t take the DNA test? It doesn’t cost much.”
“I know, I know, maybe she’s afraid that she is not. You know, it’s not right, it’s offensive that she doesn’t take it, but you can’t, you know, make somebody take something if they don’t want to,” she replied.”
Elizabeth Warren is currently taking heavy criticism for her claim of Native American heritage in her upcoming election.
One of her challengers, Shiva Ayyadurai, is making Warren’s claims of Native American Heritage as a major talking point of his campaign.
Ayyadurai is an Indian American, not Native American, man who is challenging her as an independent.
His campaign slogan is “Only a real Indian can defeat a fake one.”
Warren has sued him over signs he has placed being critical of her Native American heritage claim.
The fact that Warren won’t take a DNA test places heavy credence on the claims of her being a “fake Indian.”
It is unclear if she will ever take a DNA test, but in a state where she is currently very popular, it would only hurt her to take one and be proven as a liar when it comes to her so-called “Native American” heritage.
Do you think Elizabeth Warren is lying about being Native American?
