The FBI played a key role in spreading the story the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians.
They searched far and wide for a smoking gun to prove their case.
But they may be sitting on this smoking gun that could prove if Trump is guilty of the crime of collusion.
The FBI’s Hiding Evidence from Congress
Former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos is set to testify before Congress.
The FBI claims it began the Russia investigation after an Australian diplomat tipped them off to a conversation he had with Papadopoulos.
The diplomat – Alexander Downer – claimed Papadopoulos told him a professor approached him with information that the Russians had “dirt” on Hillary.
Robert Mueller forced Papadopoulos to plead guilty making a false statement to the FBI about when the interaction took place.
Mueller and his team claimed the professor – Joseph Mifsud – was connected to the Russians.
But that is not true.
Congressional Republicans are pushing Trump to declassify documents relating to Papadopoulos before he testifies.
They claim the documents prove the FBI knew Papadopoulos was innocent of any collusion with the Russians, but they pressed forward anyway.
They also used the false claim Papadopoulos was in league with the Russians to spy on the Trump campaign.
Papadopoulos Hints at What the Evidence Might Be
Papadopoulos took to social media and began tweeting out what he believes to be the truth about Joseph Mifsud.
He claimed Mifsud is not a Russian agent, but that he actually works for British Intelligence.
Papadopoulos thinks the FBI knew Mifsud was a British agent and that allied governments conspired with the FBI to try and destroy Donald Trump’s campaign.
Papadopoulos tweeted:
At a time when frauds are pleading the fifth to not testify to Congress, I am enthusiastic to and even wanted an open hearing. Private for now. Hope that changes.
Papadopoulos also tweeted:
To simplify: In this picture is the man, Joseph Mifsud, (the “professor”) who allegedly was a “Russian agent” who had information from Russia that the “Russians had Clinton’s emails”. Overwhelming evidence now shows he was a “BRITISH” agent. Here at British parliament. Scandal.
To make things clear: the SAME DAY(S) I meet Joseph Mifsud in Rome, March 14-16, public records now show that Peter Strozk was texting Lisa Page about an overseas contact of theirs “who is now talking.” Coincidence? Congress knows. Truth is all about to come out.
I am conservative, but I have many friends at the @washingtonpost and @nytimes. I don’t think they are fake news. Respectfully, it’s time for either titan to take on what should be the story of the century. The Trump campaign was infiltrated by western intelligence and sabotaged.
He also tweeted out screenshots of text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
They claim their overseas source was “talking” the same day Mifsud met with Papadopoulos.
We live in a sick world. Here is Peter Strozk and Lisa Page texting about their overseas contact who is now “talking”, the same DAY(S) I am introduced to Joseph Mifsud by western intelligence types in Rome. pic.twitter.com/Y8pg9vaNrq

The whole thing smells like a setup.
But will Trump follow through and declassify the documents that could expose the FBI’s scheme?
