The Democrats are endangering the country in order to get their revenge on Trump.

On Thursday, Acting U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin, Washington, D.C.’s leading federal prosecutor would not rule out charging President Donald Trump for the assault on the U.S. Capitol.
Sherwin said that he had already filed 55 cases in 36 hours but that it was just a start and that they were considering criminal charges targeting any individual who had a role in Wednesday’s riot.
A reporter asked if President Trump could face charges.
Sherwin responded, “I don’t want to sound like a broken record. We’re looking at all actors here.”
“Anyone who had a role and where the evidence fits a crime,” he added.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is calling for Trump to be immediately impeached if Vice President Mike Pence doesn’t remove him under the 25th Amendment.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy noted how the Democrats’ efforts are only making the situation more tense.
“Impeaching the President with just 12 days left in his term will only divide our country more. I have reached out to President-elect Biden today and plan to speak to him about how we must work together to lower the temperature and unite the country to solve America’s challenges,” the top House Republican said in a statement on Friday.
Trump could have taken a firmer and more immediate steps to speak out against the violence, however he told the protesters to “stay peaceful” and “go home.”
There’s no case to be made that Trump acted criminally or to impeach him and will pointlessly divide America even further.
But the Democrats are acting recklessly in ways that will have long-reaching political implications.
The danger is that the left will try to take revenge against Trump and all of Trump’s supporters.
Rick Klein, a political director for ABC News, wrote on Twitter Thursday, “Trump will be an ex-president in 13 days. The fact is that getting rid of Trump is the easy part. Cleansing the movement he commands is going to be something else.”
The Democrats are going to claim that the violence at the Capitol is the responsibility of every Republican, no matter how much they deplore the violence.
It is the height of hypocrisy since the Democrat Party has refused to condemn the political violence of Black Lives Matter.
The Democrat leadership could take lessons from Trump on how to respond to political violence quickly.
But despite their own problems, Democrats are looking to use this as an excuse to attack Republicans even further.
America is already deeply divided; if Democrats want to bring the healing and the unity that they promised then they can’t try to marginalize 70 million Americans that voted for Trump.
