Donald Trump and Fox News have been involved in a simmering feud.
But for months, many Trump supporters could not figure out what was behind the conflict.
That all changed because Fox News just betrayed Trump. This is who ordered Fox to turn on the President.
Fake news media critics often lambaste Fox News as “state TV.”
This false characterization took hold because liberal media critics despise the fact that Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Laura Ingraham – all whom support the President – have three hours of Fox News’ primetime opinion programming.
So-called “journalists” contend that a network can only be classified as news if all their content paints the Trump administration in the most negative light possible.
But the truth about Fox News is much more complicated.
Outside of three hours in primetime and “Fox and Friends” in the morning, much of Fox News’ programming more closely resembles what a viewer would find on fake news CNN.
One Fox News viewer who noticed the anti-Trump bias was none other than President Trump himself.
Recently, Fox News host Neil Cavuto had on A.B. Stoddard – who writes for the liberal Trump-hating website “The Bulwark” – to discuss the President declaring Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance ‘the worst in history.’
Stoddard claimed that every single one of Trump’s 2016 performances was “disastrous.”
The President responded by tweeting, “Could somebody at @foxnews please explain to Trump hater A.B. Stoddard (zero talent!) and @TeamCavuto, that I won every one of my debates, from beginning to end. Check the polls taken immediately after the debates. The debates got me elected. Must be Fox Board Member Paul Ryan!”
What stuck out in the minds of many observers was the President calling out former Speaker Paul Ryan as the power behind the throne in pushing Fox News to air more critical coverage of Donald Trump.
The President called back to reports that surfaced when Nancy Pelosi announced her support for an impeachment inquiry that Paul Ryan used his position as a Fox board member to pressure the Murdoch family to shift Fox News programming to an anti-Trump posture.
Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman reported last September that, “Among the powerful voices advising Lachlan that Fox should decisively break with the president is former House speaker Paul Ryan, who joined the Fox board in March. ‘Paul is embarrassed about Trump and now he has the power to do something about it,’ an executive who’s spoken with Ryan told me.”
Paul Ryan resigned from Congress because Donald Trump’s conservative “Make America Great Again” agenda eclipsed Paul Ryan’s pro-amnesty establishment Republicanism as the center of gravity in the Republican Party.
Ryan would do anything to exact revenge on Trump and reassert the open-borders, globalist RINO agenda that Ryan championed as the dominant force in the GOP.
Never Trumpers and establishment Republicans playing along with Trump convinced themselves that Fox News is the key to separating Trump from his voters.
Paul Ryan and his fellow swamp Republicans dismiss their voters as simpletons that can’t think for themselves and only support the President because the voices on Fox coming through the TV screen order them to.
Their theory of the case is that if Fox turned on Trump, the American people will turn on Trump.
And the President believes Ryan scored victories in his behind the scenes fight for control over the future of the Republican Party.
