But then Fox News obliterated Joe Biden after one key ally blew the whistle on a huge scandal.
Joe Biden’s handlers held a rare press conference following the Democrats’ disastrous defeat in the Virginia elections.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy pressed Biden on a bombshell story in The Wall Street Journal about the administration setting up a $1 billion slush fund to pay illegal aliens’ families up to $1 million a piece in reparations after the Trump administration enforced immigration law when these illegal aliens broke into the country.
The illegal aliens sued the government over the so-called “child separation” policy and the Biden administration now wants to hand them a taxpayer-funded golden parachute.
Doocy asked, “As you were leaving for your overseas trip, there were reports that were surfacing that your administration is planning to pay illegal immigrants who were separated from their parents at the border up to $450,000 each, possibly a million dollars per family. Do you think that might incentivize more people to come over illegally?”
Biden responded by claiming the story in the Journal was fake news.
“If you guys keep sending that garbage out, yeah,” Biden snarled in response. “But it’s not true.”
Doocy asked Biden to clarify if he was referring to the idea of payoffs to illegal aliens.
“Yeah,” Biden shot back.
Fox News received some surprising backup in their questioning of Biden’s illegal alien reparation scheme.
The left-wing American Civil Liberties Union released a blistering statement questioning if Joe Biden is clueless as to the goings-on in his own administration as the ACLU declared the administration was absolutely negotiating reparations payments to illegal aliens.
“President Biden may not have been fully briefed about the actions of his very own Justice Department as it carefully deliberated and considered the crimes committed against thousands of families separated from their children as an intentional governmental policy. But if he follows through on what he said, the president is abandoning a core campaign promise to do justice for the thousands of separated families. We respectfully remind President Biden that he called these actions ‘criminal’ in a debate with then-President Trump, and campaigned on remedying and rectifying the lawlessness of the Trump administration. We call on President Biden to right the wrongs of this national tragedy,” the ACLU statement read.
By questioning if Biden was out of the loop on his own administration’s immigration policy and claiming Biden forgot his own campaign promises, the ACLU – a now reliably left-wing political group – essentially called Joe Biden senile.
