Democrats came out of the second Presidential debate caught up in a blind panic over the state of their field of candidates.
Party heavyweights surveyed the aftermath and quickly realized they needed to call in the cavalry.
And George Soros has this trick up his sleeve that is bad news for Donald Trump in 2020.
Democrats and their allies constantly whine about the 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court case that struck down restrictions against the First Amendment right to engage in political speech.
But while the left constantly decries the decision, Democrats are happy to enlist billionaires to take advantage of the Supreme Court allowing Americans to express their political views.
And no Democrat big money donor is happier to jump into this fight than George Soros.
Soros has announced the creation of the Democracy PAC Super PAC as a vehicle for Soros to pump tens of millions of dollars into the effort to defeat Donald Trump in 2020.
Politico exclusively reports on Soros’ plans in an interview with a source close to the billionaire financier:
The elder Soros does not plan to use the super PAC to start his own free-standing political group, like two of the party’s other megadonors have in recent years. Instead, Soros will use it as a conduit for his giving to other organizations.
“He has, unlike Tom Steyer or [Michael] Bloomberg, funded things like Senate Majority PAC and Priorities USA and EMILY’s List and Planned Parenthood and expects to continue to do so,” a person familiar with the new organization said.
Soros already infused Democracy PAC with a five million dollar contribution and there is surely more of the Soros’ fortune soon to be flowing into the Super PAC’s coffers.
Democrats did not like what they saw at the second Presidential debate.
The 20 candidates on stage savaged each other with attacks over who was the most authentically far-left candidate in the race.
Presidential hopefuls also took aim at President Obama’s record in office as a means of knocking former Vice President Joe Biden out of the pole positions in the race.
None of this pleases big money donors or party establishment figures.
And it made the entire political world reassess the Democrats’ chances to beat Donald Trump without significant help.
Right on cue, George Soros answered the call.
The 2020 election projects to be the most expensive in American history.
President Trump has already raised more money than Barack Obama did for his re-election at a similar point in their campaigns.
That fundraising clip will only encourage Soros and other big-money Democrat donors to pour money into Super PACs and other Democrat affiliated groups.
They know that if they defeat Donald Trump not only will it put a stop to the Trump agenda, but Trump’s defeat will allow the left to bully Republicans into accepting an anti-American, pro-open borders agenda that could fundamentally transform America for all time.
