All hell was breaking loose in the Democrat Party.
They saw the Supreme Court led by Donald Trump’s nominees crossed a line that the left never thought was possible.
Hillary Clinton flew into a rage after this soul-crushing Supreme Court defeat.
The Supreme Court refused to take action on an emergency request by abortion mills in Texas to block a law that would effectively end abortion in the Lone Star State by allowing individuals to file civil lawsuits against abortion providers and doctors that aid and abet criminal abortions.
While the text of the law does not include any language banning abortions, the threat of lawsuits forced abortion mills in Texas to stop performing abortions and terminating babies’ lives after six weeks.
Ending abortion on demanded enraged Hillary Clinton who flew off the handle on social media accusing the Supreme Court of launching a stealth attack on American democracy.
Clinton even called ending the life of a baby “human rights.”
“Under the cover of darkness, by choosing to do nothing, the Supreme Court allowed an unconstitutional abortion ban in Texas to go into effect last night. Their decision doesn’t change the fact that reproductive rights are human rights. We’ll fight for them,” Clinton posted on social media.
In 2016, Clinton’s support for abortion on demand up until the moment of birth may have cost Clinton the election.
During the final presidential debate Donald Trump attacked Clinton for Clinton’s support for the barbaric practice of partial-birth abortion and born-alive abortions.
In that election, the prospect of which candidate would select the nominee to fill the late Antonin Scalia’s seat became a major issue and Donald Trump won voters that listed picking Supreme Court justices as their top issue 56 to 41 percent.
Democrats did not appear to learn their lesson from that defeat.
Joe Biden issued a statement attacking the Supreme Court and claimed that terminating a human life was “health care.”
“The Texas law will significantly impair women’s access to the health care they need, particularly for communities of color and individuals with low incomes. And, outrageously, it deputizes private citizens to bring lawsuits against anyone who they believe has helped another person get an abortion, which might even include family members, health care workers, front desk staff at a health care clinic, or strangers with no connection to the individual,” Biden’s statement read.
The Supreme Court’s decision took many Americans – especially conservatives – by surprise.
Conservatives expect to lose big social issue cases because establishment-oriented justices like Brett Kavanaugh and John Roberts care more about how liberals perceive the court and making sure The New York Times writes nice things about them than correctly interpreting the Constitution.
But this decision scrambled those calculations, and the biggest evidence of that sea change is the ferocity of opposition from the left.
