Hillary Clinton wasn’t wise enough to avoid a messy situation she easily could have avoided.
But she jumped to the defense of the notorious foreign politician.
Hillary Clinton involved herself in a sex scandal when she posted this one photo.
Former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton decided to publicly support Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, 36, who came under fire after a video emerged of her dancing in an intimate manner with a man who is not her husband.
A Finnish tabloid, Seiska, posted a video of Marin dancing close to a man who was nuzzling her neck. One witness told Seiska that Marin was “clearly intoxicated” and “danced intimately with at least three different men,” adding that she “sat on the laps of two different men. … She acted like a single 20-something. It was hard to believe that she is married,” the New York Post reported.
Marin had to defend herself from allegations of drug use after videos of the event circulated.
“In the leaked video footage, unidentified people are heard shouting about ‘flour,’ which is a slang term for cocaine in Finland,” The Telegraph noted.
Many women have posted videos of themselves dancing with the tag #SolidarityWithSanna, claiming that the problems with her behavior are sexist and Clinton has jumped at the chance to get some attention from the social media trend.
Clinton is no stranger to brushing sexual scandals under the rug. The accusations that have been leveled against Bill Clinton are far more serious than the wild partying of Marin.
She chose to support her own husband, President Bill Clinton, for his affair with his 22-year-old unpaid intern Monica Lewinsky and lying about it under oath, under numerous sexual harassment allegations, and scrutiny of his close friendship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
“As Ann Richards said, ‘Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels,’” Clinton wrote on Twitter, citing the former Democratic governor of Texas. “Here’s me in Cartagena while I was there for a meeting as Secretary of State. Keep dancing, @marinsanna.”
Clinton attached a picture of herself dancing at the Cafe Havana in Colombia while representing America at the VI Summit of the Americas in 2012.
Marin responded, writing “Thank you @HillaryClinton,” with a red heart emoji.
The Finnish prime minister has also been forced to apologize after a photo was exposed of two women kissing at her official residence, lifting their shirts with a sign saying “Finland” covering their breasts.
“I think the picture is not appropriate, I apologize for it. Such a picture should not have been taken,” Marin said of the incident, according to Finnish broadcaster YLE.
