Rep. Ilhan Omar’s short-lived career is falling apart.
She continues to get smacked with scandal after scandal.
And now her career is over all because of the words on one t-shirt.
Since the terrorist attack on 9/11, there has been a yearly memorial, where families of the victims read the names of those that lost their lives due to the Islamic terrorist attack.
It is a non-political event, with no goal other than honoring the victims.
But in the past year, there has been an influx of anti-America rhetoric coming from leading Democrats.
In particular, Rep. Ilhan Omar has been ratcheting up extremist rhetoric.
The Muslim Congresswoman has been promoting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories along with her usual far-left policies.
But there is nothing she has pushed that is more extreme than her statements on the 9/11 terrorist attack.
In a recent speech with the terrorist-tied Center for American Islamic Relations (CAIR), she claims that one of the biggest victims of 9/11 was Muslim Americans, who had to deal with the fact that it was followers of their religion responsible for the attack.
While her point is extreme enough, she didn’t even refer to the attack for what it is while making her point.
Instead, she refers to the attack as “some people” doing “something.”
So on the 18th anniversary of the attacks, Nicholas Haros, who lost his mother on that day, wore a shirt with her quote, and mentioned it in his speech.
“Some people did something?” he asked. “I am here to honor my mother, Frances Haros, on this solemn eighteenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.”
He then went on to repeat the quote, while adding to just how disgusting it was.
“Some people did something?” Haros repeated. “Why the confusion? 19 Islamic terrorists killed 3,000 people. Is that clear? I was attacked. Our Constitution was attacked. Our Judeo-Christian founding was attacked. That’s what ‘some people’ did!”
The fact that this non-partisan event ended up taking a political tone shows just how much Omar has crossed the line.
She currently has a 9% approval rating, and continues to make insane statements to anger more people.
The fact that a family member of a 9/11 victim saw Omar’s quote as the biggest point to mention in his speech is important.
Omar continues to make these insane statements, and maintains associations with extremists.
CAIR, which is the group she made her controversial comments in front of, have strong ties to Islamic terrorism.
The United Arab Emirate lists them as a terrorist organization.
On top of this, Omar is banned from visiting the state of Israel over her support for the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Despite this, she continues to hold a position on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which regularly deals with issues relating to Israel.
This is why many are calling for Omar to resign.
