Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar is under fire for anti-Semitic comments.
Despite this, she continues to serve in Congress.
But that will likely change after one shocking event.
After making a number of anti-Semitics comments, Ilhan Omar has been facing calls for her removal from Congress.
Figures, including Vice President Pence, are demanding her removal from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
And Democrats, including many in her state of Minnesota, are working to either remove her from Congress or find someone to replace her at re-election.
A new event is only going to make those calls increase.
Even while facing anti-Semitism scandals, Omar isn’t slowing down with her extremism.
Over the weekend, Omar was a featured speaker at an event for the Center for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) in California.
CAIR is a pro-Palestine group whose leaders have ties to Islamic terrorism and hold fiercely anti-Israel views.
The U.S. government lists CAIR as an unindicted co-conspirator in funding millions of dollars to terrorist organizations like Hamas.
CAIR is also listed as a terrorist organization in the United Arab Emirates, putting them in the same league as Al-Qaeda and ISIS.
This isn’t surprising considering that Omar has tweeted “Allahu Akbar,” and calls for Allah to expose Israel’s “evil doings.”
At the event, hundreds of protesters showed up to oppose both CAIR and Omar.
The protest featured Israeli flags and anti-Omar signs.
At one point, conservative activist Laura Loomer had two banners unfurled on balconies of the hotel hosting the conference, reading “Ilhan hates Israel,” and “CAIR hates Jews.”
The event shined a massive spotlight on the anti-Semitism from CAIR and Omar.
Despite it clearly being about her beliefs and statements, Omar told the crowd inside that the protesters were opposing her simply for being Muslim.
That is a ridiculous claim considering Omar’s statements in recent weeks.
In response to a tweet about politicians who support Israel, she responded that their support is “all about the Benjamins,” implying that Israel is buying off U.S. politicians.
This is a long-held portion of an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that Israel, and therefore Jews, control the U.S. government.
Indeed, her comments earned her praise for the former leader of the Ku Klux Klan David Duke, who believes Omar is the most important member of Congress for his cause today.
Displays like the protest in California make it clear that Americans are fed up with Omar’s anti-Semitism.
Israel is the strongest ally of the United States, being the one bastion of Western Civilization in the Middle East.
Attacks on Israel are entirely based in anti-Semitism.
Palestinian terrorists want nothing more than to wipe Israel off the face of the planet.
And it is politicians like Omar who make their crusade easier by undermining the U.S.-Israel relationship.
This is especially troublesome with Omar serving on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
It is her committee that handles many important foreign affairs decisions and is a committee that has long been standing with Israel.
The longer she is on that committee, the more danger the state of Israel will be in.
Do you think Democrats should remove Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee?
