The threat of Islamic terrorism looms over America every single day.
Radical Muslims hate everything America stands for, and want to make us pay for our ways.
And a radical Islamic terrorist attack against Trump was just narrowly avoided.
President Donald Trump isn’t afraid to call out the threat of radical Islamic terrorism.
Unlike former President Obama, Trump is willing to call it what it is, and actively fight against it.
The media likes to claim that his resolve to take down Islamic terrorism is racist, but Americans in the post 9/11 era understand that the threat is real.
But in calling out the threat loudly, President Trump has made himself Islam’s number one enemy.
Every day, there are Islamic terrorists planning on how to harm him.
And to make things even more horrifying, many of them are in the United States already.
No longer is the threat on the other side of the world, but many terrorists are becoming homegrown.
Not to mention the fact that our weak borders allow Middle Eastern terrorists to make their way into the country.
One of those homegrown terrorists is Hasher Jallal Taheb, a 21-year old Atlanta man who changed his name after converting to Islam.
Just this week he was arrested after being caught plotting to attack the White House.
Taheb’s attack was to take place Thursday of this week, involving both firearms and explosives.
According to authorities, he was planning to also travel to Islamic State territory but lacked a passport.
But before he could commit his attack, authorities got to him.
“All potential threats have been neutralized and were under control from the inception of this case,” said U.S. Attorney Byung J. “BJay” Pak.
Taheb is facing charges of plotting to destroy a government building, punishable with between five and twenty years in prison.
He had been planning the attack for months, according to a timeline in the criminal complaint against him.
At the end of August of 2018, his car was put up for sale to fund his trip.
Shortly after, an FBI informant met with him, following up on a tip from a concerned neighbor.
The informant expressed interest in purchasing the vehicle, to which Taheb admits he was planning to visit “hijra,” a shorthand term meaning Islamic State territory.
He also told the informant he planned to attack the White House, as well as the Statue of Liberty, calling Jihad an “obligation.”
“Taheb explained that jihad was an obligation, that he wanted to do as much damage as possible, and that he expected to be a ‘martyr,’” the complaint said.
Taheb, who thought that the informant would join the attack, also showed ground plans to the White House, outlining his plan.
Along with the White House and the Statue of Liberty, Taheb also had plans to attack the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and a synagogue.
The attacks were to be completed with handguns, an AT-4 anti-armor weapon, and hand grenades.
His White House plan involved creating a diversion and then shooting his way into the building.
Thankfully, law enforcement has been on his tail for months and was able to stop him.
But despite the real threat from Taheb, the media has not given much time to cover him.
