James Comey was a pivotal figure in launching Robert Mueller’s Russia collusion investigation.
The goal of the investigation is to prove whether or not Russia meddled in the 2016 election.
But while it is unclear if Russia actually did, it was just proven that Comey plans to meddle in the 2018 election.
As former FBI Director, James Comey was fired for a host of reasons, one of which likely being his suspected bias in favor of Democrats.
Just looking at the difference between the way he handled the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server, and the way he handled information about Russia collusion makes that clear.
But while at the time his support for Democrats was mostly speculation based on his behavior, now we know for sure that he has a clear agenda in favor of Democrats, and against President Trump.
In a series of tweets, the former FBI Director railed against Trump and Republicans, essentially stating that voting for republicans is treasonous.
This was the day an American president stood on foreign soil next to a murderous lying thug and refused to back his own country. Patriots need to stand up and reject the behavior of this president.

Having sold out our nation on an international stage, Mr. Trump will now explain it all to Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson? I’m guessing RT and Sputnick were unavailable. He owes it to our nation to sit down with a serious journalist.

This Republican Congress has proven incapable of fulfilling the Founders’ design that “Ambition must … counteract ambition.” All who believe in this country’s values must vote for Democrats this fall. Policy differences don’t matter right now. History has its eyes on us.

The tweets, widely supported by those in the anti-Trump “resistance,” make his agenda clear. Comey is attempting to use his status as former FBI Director to claim that supporting the president is treason, and that history will look back on his supporters that way.
Comey is not the only former Justice Department official to publicly come out against the president, or to seemingly accuse him of treason. While Comey didn’t directly state that Trump committed treason, former CIA Director John Brennan did.
Brenna stated that Trump’s press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin “exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors,’ Stating that the press conference was “nothing short of treasonous.”
In response to Brennan’s statement, Trump called the former CIA Director a “very bad guy.”
While the comments coming from James Comey and John Brennan aren’t any different than the comments you would hear from any other member of the anti-Trump “resistance,” what makes them different is the status they have. People who formally held high positions of power should be more careful when making over the top statements about government officials.
But the status that both Brennan and Comey hold has been damaged among the eyes of the general public because of shady things they have done in the past. John Brennan even faced calls from left-leaning publications to step down after being caught lying under oath about government spying.
James Comey has a much longer history of shadiness, specifically related to his actions with President Donald Trump.
While Donald Trump was still president-elect, and Comey was still serving as FBI Director, Comey is the official who presented Trump will the unverified, salacious dossier compiled by former British Spy Christopher Steele.
Comey presented the dossier without informing Trump that it was funded by his political opponent, Hillary Clinton.
It was that action by Comey that gave news outlets justification to release the dossier to the public. Prior to that meeting it was an unverified dossier, without any proof being provided to back many accusations listed in it. But after it was presented to Trump, it was a dossier that the president-elect had been briefed on.
So while it is a virtual certainty that Comey will continue to use his status to bash Trump, and attempt to influence the 2018 election, he will still be corrupt in the eyes of the American people.
Do you think that James Comey’s tweet will harm Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections?
