Lately, more and more politicians are making a bid for office.
Many who are running are doing so to defy President Trump.
And Jeff Sessions just defied President Trump in this unthinkable way in 2020.
The country is heading into political turmoil.
The left’s impeachment probe, fueled by false accusations and the word of one mysterious whistleblower, is causing more and more division.
Even within the Republican Party, there are those that have betrayed our President and want to see him out of office.
One of these men is Jeff Sessions. And now, he is defying the President by running for Senate.
Sessions was President Trump’s Attorney General until he chose to betray Trump and not testify on his behalf during the Russian probe.
He resigned one year ago at the request of Trump, who stated that his biggest mistake was assigning Sessions in the first place.
But now, he is determined to run for the Alabama Senate seat, despite pleas from fellow Republicans to sit out this race.
Sessions publicly praises the President, including in a statement made on his official campaign page:
“As everyone knows, President Trump and I have had our ups and downs. But here’s the important part: The President is doing great work for America,” he said. “When President Trump took on Washington, only one Senator out of a hundred had the courage to stand with him: me. I was the first to support President Trump. I was his strongest advocate. I still am. We must make America great again.”
But his actions tell a different story.
Being Acting Attorney General at the time of Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian involvement in the 2016 election, Sessions could have given significant evidence and testimony in support for the President.
Instead, he recused himself from the hearing, betraying Trump and everything they were working toward.
Many are opposed to Sessions entering the already competitive Republican race.
One opponent, Tommy Tuberville, is even running campaign ads with Trump quoting that the one thing he would do over is electing Sessions and calling him a traitor.
Many others are publicly calling Sessions out, including Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida in a recent tweet:
Jeff Sessions returning to the Senate is a terrible idea.

Sessions has little support in this race.
Both the Republican Party and the President see Sessions as betraying everything they had worked for.
When they needed his support the most, he turned his back on our President and everything he stands for, choosing to stay silent against the left’s outrageous lies.
Despite this, Sessions continues to claim he supported the President, and even defended himself on Fox News to Tucker Carlson:
“We were able to serve, to push the Trump agenda,” Sessions said. “I don’t regret that.”
The American people know the truth. They know that Sessions betrayed this country and our President, and they won’t support his bid for Senate.
